RWD vs AWD

So can someone please care to explain to me whats better when drag racing? is RWD in bmw better for racing than AWD? ive heard different answer from different ppl

To make your life easy, for launching and getting out of the hole Awd if and only of you don't have slicks or drag radials. Otherwise rwd, less drive train loss= more power=more fast.

I was dead even on a rolling start with 2009 e90 n54 and from dead stop I was almost a car length ahead because his tires were spinning.

Ive owned and driven both xdrive bmws and rwd bimmers. I would have to say that for an amateur the xdrive was more care free for lauching and maneuvering. Rwd is definately more exciting to drive but i do worry about applying too much throttle in a turn and losing my back end or giving too much gas off a launch and losing a race to tire spinning. Rwd is hands down more exciting to drive and I think thats what BMWs are about!

Before my 335xi, i drove a 130i. I sold it for one big reason: the drive in winter

I needed to hear it from Someone who has drove both cars an this helps thanks so much so I'm sticking to rwd for my next car
