I had a 150 shot on my 350Z....started with a 75 shot....careful bro, that sh*t is addictive as hell. On the other hand, I also had J&S ultra timing retard, window switch, dual purge jets (vented out by each windshield wiper straight up into the air, looked sick), remote opener, bottle heater, fullgauges, etc, etc.

You turn into a crack addict running the stuff, and it wasnt cheap @ $50 per refill!

I was bored as hell and went looking around and bought a nitrous filter...This is security for my solenoid not being stuck open by debris or foreign matter, because these nitrous places that fill up the tanks are not the cleanest establishment! Looked around and alot of places charges so got damn much for their filters...Some costing with shipping 80 dollars..I got one from Dyno Tune as theirs is the cheapest 29 buckeroos and like almost all their products..I am comparing accessory parts of NX Express...Some of their items are way over price compared to Dyno Tune..Here is the filter I just ordered! Screws into the solenoid directly with no hoses and its not an in line filter...100% reusable Sold all my nitrous jets I had except for a .20 jet

You sold them?? Taking the risk and decision right out of your hands?

Yes I sold all of them back to the dealer for half the cost, which was deducted from my nitrous refill. Just kept the .20 as the urge to go up seems great as this stuff is very addictive because power gains are quite noticeable. I ran 16 psi today just on meth and it's felt like it was missing something! Basically got rid of the other jets to curb myself from temptation. No other way then getting rid of the drug from a user!

Yep...I was all set to buy a remote bottle opener so I could turn it on with the flick of a switch.

Not gonna now! I figured the need to open and close the bottle in the trunk will curb me from using it as much. When I had a 150 shot on my bolt-on LS1 I used it ALL the time. Man was it fun!

Yeah your probably right! On that note I just switched to a .20 jet from .15 which is the largest one I have now! I got rid of all the higher ones that I had from .31 to as high as .62 I now own .09, .12, .14, .15 and .20

Just finished most of the wiring... and solenoid mounting etc.
I need to wire to the JB4 board, and run the line, mount the bottle and heater.

Cool! Keep me posted of your install and test. With unexpected warm weather in the Northeast 55 degrees, I was able to test out the .20 jet this morning, and it's nice a bump in power compared to .15! Car responds much better and there is a noticeable gains from .15 jet. Logs show timing perfect at 10 degrees flat with no drops and a/f in check 11.1 to 12.2 still. I lowered boost to 14-15 psi and it's still felt faster than when i used .15 jet at 16-16.5. I Was only able to do one run as traffic started getting busy on the highway. This stuff is nuts!
I can't chase the dragon anymore as this is the highest jet I have and that's all folks. Stilov it's up to you now to keep this thread going and for you to chase the dragon! I have slained my dragon already and he is dead at .20

Well I left the wire that goes to the JB4 disconnected...gonna pull out the board today to solder.

I grounded the nitrous solenoid to the same spot as the meth solenoid...bad idea.

I didn't have meth running on the way to work because of some feedback up the wires...no biggie, I just clipped the ground for the nitrous solenoid and I am pretty sure meth will work again.

I need to find another ground spot for the NOS solenoid, no big deal.

I also need to run by the Depot to get some bolts or something to anchor down the bottle brackets...I was thinking stubby nuts and bolts with large washers as the trunk floor is pretty flimsy, so spread out the surface area!!

Your not using a relay for the nitrous solenoid? It draws much more amps then the meth solenoid.. Yeah I also used large washers and bolts to anchor the bottle brackets to the trunk floor cover...Its hard plastic material and with the bolts it is pretty sturdy.

yes I am using a relay, but I only have part of the relay wired in right now...
anyway, I had to run to the bank, and I have meth back now!!! I just grounded too many things to the same spot.
it'll be good once I get some time to finish it up!!

Son of a.....!!! I spent all this time getting the line run, bottle mounted and heater wired. Get it altogether and wouldn't you know it...the flipping main line leak and the swivel connector!!!!

So I guess I have to get another line and run it again!!!

Wow that sucks. What swivel connector are you describing? My line was straight through with D-4 and didn't have any swivel connectors. The least connections the better IMO

just at the very end...where you screw it onto the bottle...the litte fitting spins so you dont have to rotate the whole line.

Yeah I saw that fitting and wasnt too comfortable with it and any rotating part IMO are prone to failure especially at those pressures of 900-1000 psi

Where did u tap in the nozzle for the jet?

I made myself an elbow...with a bung.
Well the place I got the line from is going to swap it out for me, and give me a credit for my short line (10ft) and I'm gonna end up with a little longer line.

The one I put on last night fit, but barely. An extra foot would do wonders!!!

But it sucks b/c I don't get to spray it today

Gonna go pull my jb4 and do some soldering!!!

so what size shot did this equate to?

I've run up to 150 shot (not on my BMW) & that was a blast. Anything less is meh to me.

I am personally using a .20 jet which equates to a 25 shot but from my understanding FI yields more than the stated HP gains, as I have not dynod my car and do not know what I gained from nitrous.. Most using nitrous on this platform are using jet sizes .31 and larger up to .46 that I have seen. A memeber using .31 which equates to a 50 shot and gained over 90+hp on the dyno.. With FBO and .31 jet, people are seeing upwards of 516-524 rwhp. I am sure you can spray a 150 but it probably will come with some expensive repair bills to boot!!! I rather sit back with my small shot and enjoy it and not worrying about leaving parts behind when spraying!! You would be surprised if you ever sprayed with your BMW how responsive it is to nitrous even with a small shot.

I honestly would not even install the 90 degree swivel connection...It eliminates another connection for leaks and stuff...Keep that part as simple as possible as from the bottle to the nitrous line, to the solenoid..
You live to spray another day! lol
