need more power w/out voiding my warranty
I have an o7 335xi and just bought BMW Extended Warranty good till (05/2014 or 100k miles). If I install a split second tuner will it void my warranty? those anyone have any other suggestion? Plug N Play will be best.
Thank You

EVERY mod will void one or another part of your warranty if the dealership finds any proof of it. Any codes that are thrown in the ECU that are tune related will void one part of your warranty. As the saying goes, you pay to play. You run a risk no matter what you get, unless it's BMW approved, or you want to pay the prices DINAN charges. If you go DINAN, you must follow their warranty rules or else you will have no warranty as well.. There is no safe way to tune and avoid voiding warranty, do everything at your own risk

If you take the tunes out before taking them out, they could only detect them by physcially seeing evidence you had a tune or seeing codes in the ecu. If you take precautions these risks are limited.

no, you would need to get a jb+ or a sstt AND a code clearing tool.

Get the procede, save your time doing the research, its the best. No codes, you will thank me after you get it. Good luck and congrats on the purchase. Do the research about it when its in the mail. lol

The JB+/BT combo is the best way to go for your 2007. Quick install/removal and the ability to read/delete any hidden codes.

well when a new guy comes in, at least once a week, the same thing gets asked. I am honestly tired of people just saying . Which I have never done, because I think its kind of a dick move. Obviously anyone can search, but why would someone join a forum to search? He can easily ask and he got an easy answer.

However my comment was not anything about a "search" I was referring to the Proceed Vs. JB3 back and forth .. my tune's better than yours. whaaa whaaa whaaa... where they essentially do the same thing in different ways.. with similar gains.

The simplest, cheapest and easiest way is to buy a used JB+, leave it at 50% or less.

I think the OP should try both tunes... I was hardcore Procede when i have my N54 and I still am, but I have partied in the other camp, BMS/JB3 N55 tune and for the product that is put out, it does a damn good job. Whether or not if it's safe, or approved, or what have you, it does the job it's suppose to do.
People on both sides of the fence will say this tune is better, and that tune is better. Yes the Procede has built in code clearing, autotuning and other great features and I appreciated these feature when I had the Procede in my 335, but now I have a BT tool along with my JB3 N55 tune, and yes granted I had to buy an extra part to do diagnostic and code clearing on my X5, it's more than made up for it's price. The one thing the BT tool can do that the procede can't is clear codes... I know many will say, "oh but before you remove the procede it will remove all your codes." True as that may be, can you read codes with the Procede after it's removed? NO.. OP, try both tunes, see how they both perform, judge for yourself. Then return the one that doesn't do it for you. I suggest investing in a BT tool regardless of which tune you buy.

I love my PROcede. I'm sure the BMS options work great too, but for me the PROcede seemed like a better fit. I have the install/uninstall down to under 15 minutes, so it's really not that big of a deal when dealer time comes. Whatever option you choose is up to you, but IMO a piggyback is the way to go if you want easy, quickly reversable power.

I already beat an 01 911 turbo on a 60-130ish roll. They are that tight unless its 2005 and up(stock). Any modded 911 turbo is gonna be sick, but after I get my upgraded turbos, I would run just about anything. A stage 3 335i with upgraded twins should run mid 11's.
