Just to throw this out there my 335 on stock tuning repeatedly beat my friends s5 at the track, both automatics so not much driver error.
With a tune its a whole other story.
Handling wise the 335i is faster around the track.
Only thing the s5 has over the 335i is styling and interior and thats all personal preference, so if you like the look get the s5, but dont expect it to be a sports car.

Congrats on the new S5.

TPMS - starting with the newer BMW models, in Canada, all models now uses the abs sensor to monitor wheel rotational variances but in US, these same new models still use the TPMS mounted inside the wheel.

Perhpas, Audi are in the exact situation/setup as well. If your dealer already confirms it's abs sensor for tpms, you can double check with another dealer as well.

And because of friday storm, my wife was stuck on the middle of the road on her E92(I have snow tire put on of course). So we just place an order on a May deliveryof a 6MT S5 premium with sport differential, 19" rotor titanium rim & rear-view camera option. Get 5% discount with 10 min negotiations. I know it is not the best price but I hate wasting time to travel to different dealer.

So now I have a week to decide which color to choose and any other option to add. I like white & blue but my wife like black. And is the metallic black/white worth it? And I was confused regarding the TPMS option. The salesman told me that the TPMS censor is on the abs so no need to put it on the wheels for the second set of rims. However, tirerack said it required. So is there any good Canadian audi forum that I can get more info on?
Lucky girl. Thats a great car. Audizine is biggest I've found but virtually zero local chatter.

Google 335 vs S5 ....Think there might be some "driver error" as you put it. This vid shows the V8. I think the V6 supercharged is faster and more nimble than the V8 and it can be tuned to over 400 hp just as readily as 335.

A tune only 335 would destroy a tune only s5, lol get off google and go to dragtimes.com or audizine and look at not only dyno sheets but time slips, dont forget the weight factor.

regardless who has more power (stock or tuned), OP's wife is not going to race anyone on the street. She just wants a stylish luxury coupe to drive around.

exactly! She care about the style & luxury features over driving feel! For me, the steering feel, brake feel on my 5yr old 335i is more impressive than the S5.

Well, now I have to research on to put kw coilover or just Stasis lowering spring. I found out I never change any settings on my coilover before so dunno will the Stasis able to preserve the stock ride quality and still provide a subtle drop to reduce the wheel gap.

So what? wtf cares? Stock cars are very similar.....S5 being marginally faster on a track at the hands of a Pro. Does anybody drag a street car? Any body can go fast in a straight line.

I think a more popular/less expensive option is H&R OE (just over 1" lower) or Sport (about 1.5" lower). I had sport on my last S4 and it made the ride rather harsh. OE preserves stock ride quality.

Really! just lower with H&R OE spring can preserve the ride quality! That will be a big saving over any coilover! I have bad experience on lowering with spring only on a Civic Si 20 yr ago! It bounce like hell! Everyone want to baff after riding on it... So after that I always go with coilover even I never change any setting or adjust the height afterward.

No one try to argue that 335 is a better driver car. And I am not going to trade in my E92 335 for the S5. I am just buying the S5 for my wife and delegate the 335 to me. And we are not going to track the car or street race it. So who cares which car able out run the other for 0.1 sec! I am sure most members over here will option to 1 335 & 1 S5 instead of 2 335 in the garage.

Whats your problem? You said you beat your pal on the track all the time. I said the two cars are virtually identical on the track at the hands of a pro. This video is the V8 and their lap times are virtually identical. OP is ordering the V6 which is a better handling and quicker car than the V8. Do you really think YOU could make your 335 go faster than S5? OPs wife isnt a racer. You have serious fanboy issues.

Yup. They are inexpensive and work really well. Some people will tell you they cause premature shock issues. I put 110,000 kms on mine without a problem.

hm! Carcost canada just updated the ordering sheet on S5, it mentioned a $3000 factory rebate is also apply to the new S5 premium which just released for feb to order (included Navi & B&O as standard when compare to as a $3200 option before feb). Now I don't have it written on my contract, am I still entitle to get that rebate?

Oh! A tough one to say.

Usually, you will get the current month incentive (even though no car is delivered) when you signed. However, if the May incentive is better than current, then you may be out of luck because it's not in writing that you get the better of the two incentives offering.

You will have to call your dealer to find out. better amend the agreement if you still can

call your sales asap and demand it to be added. Check if you're applicable to the "10 day cooling period"

if not can do...somehow make the dealer "make it up to you" via other means?

Pretty sure you get best deal available up until delivery/paid in full. That's how it worked on my last 5 Audis anyway.

I am looking to lease a S4 in Toronto, is the $3000 factory incentive applicable to the S4 as well? and is that on top of any discounts the dealer may offer?

Any good Audi salesperson that can be recommended?

OK, end up it is carcost canada error! The $3000 rebate is only for in stock S5. So it will be too good to be true if I can get it since the navi & b&o already included as standard feature (which is already $3400 option). So I just wish my luck if any sudden rebate come up before I take delivery.

Read the beginning of the thread.

My buddy Paul at Agincourt Audi/VW on Kennedy/Shepard can hook you up. He's a great SA and always gets his customers the best price available.
