Well I finally drove itThe wife insisted on going with me to make sure I did not beat on her new car.Overall I am very impressed with the changes from the 07.The DCT trans is very smooth and almost imperceptable on shifts up or down and you can only hear the shifts due the sport exhaust that the IS comes with.I notice some more turbo lag than the earlier car had but that could due to not having a torque converter like the auto had.It does feel like it has more mid range but as my ears would boxed if I really got on it,no full throttle yetI think this will be a very enjoyable ride for the future that I will need to use.

Looks good Gearhead! I like the 313's, I'm torn on whether I prefer the 19" 225M or the 19" 313. I ordered back in January so I guess the 225M's were still being fitted.

After the problems that we had with the 19's and factory 19's we opted for the 18's.The car rides quite well on the 18's and hopefully they last better than the 11000 kms that the factory 19's did!

My previous 19" 230's were fine for 3 years, until I hit a pothole fast and hard enough to launch my coffee cup out of the holder. I'm sure that's what caused a crack on the inner lip of one of the rims. And this happened within the period of the wheel/tire warranty (which I got again) but it wasn't detected until after the warranty expired. Interestingly the ride is smoother with the 335is. I think it's the Pirelli RFT's vs. the old Bridgestones.

^^^ Congrats on the European Delivery, btw.
Thought I'd mention something interesting from the manual - it states 335hp at 6x00 RPM (can't recall the exact figure). Typo? This is what the Z4 35is puts out, and the coupe/vert were supposed to be lower due to more restrictive cooling/intake...? Honestly I don't know how you guys with aftermarket tunes do it - this car feels significantly faster than the '07, so much so that I'm looking out for Johnny Law a heck of a lot more now.

NICE!
I just got mine wednesday night also. No dct though?? Were you surprised at how loud the car is? Right in the mid range at 3/4 throttle, the exhaust seems pretty damn loud to me. It burbles a ton on downshifts and there are loud pops during fast DCT upshifts. You use the sport button yet? I briefly tried it to test throttle response and shift speed and despite the shifts and throttle being even quicker, I thought that the car felt much smoother in terms of pull and overall feel with sport engaged. Very weird. I got mine in sapphire black, black dakota, dct, prem package, idrive/navigation, htd seats, conv package, 225Ms, HK, ipod/usb, satellite, phone integration which I'll probably never use. Pretty much every option except that stupid active steering. |

Gearhead999s got the DCT, I think 335isGuy and myself went with 6MT.
I'm sure DCT is awesome, I'm just a stick guy at heart Congrats on your ride. Re: exhaust - I did the golf tee mod already. Cold start is a little ridiculous, but it's a nice aural treat having the exhaust open across the whole RPM band. Still haven't gone above 4500RPM, waiting (im)patiently for that. Did some semi-hard pulls a few times to help seat the rings, that was it.
