I'm not looking to run 100% e85. So I think your stage 1 pump would be enough. What's your price on these ? Havnt really heard about anyone doing this until now |

As promised more data....
For these tests my high pressure system was totally stock, they were run on the same tank of fuel (verified E80), and the logs are sequential (except one that I accidentally hit the enter button twice and started a log ). They were taken on two different nights, the first night was 71 degrees out and I was running the stage 2 (450) bucket. The second night was 66 degrees out and I was running the stage 1 kit (255 inline with stock bucket). A note about my LPFP setup, I have the ability to run 4 different setups, all of which you'll see in these logs. 1. Intank (stage 1 or stage 2) 2. Intank + stage 3 in street mode 3. Intank + stage 3 in race mode 4. Intank + CP injection with any of the above 3 configurations (both CPI logs were taken with E. inline in SM) Here is stage 1 in regards to the HPFP Here is stage 2 in regards to the HPFP As you can see there isn't much difference between stage 1 and stage 2 at this point with the current limitations. Here is a graph of the corresponding LPFP pressures. Stage 1 LPFP pressures Stage 2 LPFP pressures As you can see, stage 2 actually throws more fuel at it but the HPFP can't make use of it. Stage 1 throws more pressure at it...but again, the HPFP can't make use of it. Then in my case, stage 2 and stage 3 throw the most fuel and pressure at it and while the HPFP can't make use of it, my CP injection can and I'm able to circumvent it. Going forward for big setups and alternative fueling options (port or dual HPFP's) I really think stage 2 and 3 are going to be necessary or a variation there of. If limiting pressures for port injection to moderate levels such as 45psi...it's going to get a bit more complicated but fairly easy to do. It'll be interesting to see how PTF is fueling their systems. Here are the links to the logs used for these examples. Stage 1 w/CP injection http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/255-inli...og=0&data=1-11 Stage 1 w/inline in SM http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/255-inli...og=0&data=1-11 Stage 1 w/inline in RM http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/255-inli...og=0&data=1-11 Stage 1 only http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/255-inli...og=0&data=1-11 Stage 2 w/CP injection http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/450-test-1?log=0&data=1-11 Stage 2 w/inline in SM http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/450-test-2?log=0&data=1-11 Stage 2 w/inline in RM http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/450-test-3?log=0&data=1-11 Stage 2 only http://datazap.me/u/steveaz/450-test-4?log=0&data=1-11 And here is the lab's test results for my "stage 3" pump. http://imageshack.com/a/img836/4396/9w2d.jpg Sorry, I realize this is a lot of boring data but may be of use to somebody besides me

These get released tonight at 6pm Pacific time on a first come, first served basis and they'll start shipping the week of May 19th.
Sorry, I can't post a link...you'll have to look them up on BB. Thanks, Steve

All the initial orders of these have gone out and have been getting installed, so I'm starting to get back core assemblies. I have also gotten a supply of new buckets in stock to rebuild. So these are now available again.
Here's a few pics of them.

Whenever I'm done with other high-dollar projects for the car, I'll be sure to buy one of these!

For everybody else...since I flow test every 450 bucket after assembly I thought I'd take a video of one of today's buckets going out for an international customer. This one flowed at a little over 1.2GPM (Stock is around .6GPM) Enjoy, Steve

so the difference in price isnt that much between option 1 and 2 so would you recommend getting option 2 if i wasnt too worried about the difference in price? in the near future I will probably upgrade to rbs and never really thinking of going big big hp...just trying to stay right there in the 500whp range.
looking at all the posts seems like option 1 will be plenty but is there any benefits to option 2 like longevity?

With a stock HPFP, both options will max that out so there really is no difference there. Here is a brief comparison of the two.
Stage 1 advantages.... 1. Less expensive 2. Availability 3. Easy to return to completely stock 4. Flows approx. 50% more fuel than stock Stage 2 advantages.... 1. 100% plug and play 2. E85 certified 3. Flows approx. 100% more fuel than stock 4. Simple swap of LPFP bucket making it the easiest LPFP upgrade to install As far as flows are concerned, as I said that really only comes in to play later down the road should anybody decide to upgrade their high pressure capabilities via the HPFP or if you are running supplementary injection.

sorry if i missed it in the thread, skimming through it at work. any rough estimate on price and if it would make a vehicle capable of running 100% e85
thank you

As a general rule...After you upgrade your LPFP, your ability to run 100% 85 becomes entirely dependent upon a few variables.
1. How well your HPFP is doing 2. Your tune 3. Other variables that pertain to your situation such as elevation, weather conditions... 4. Your fuel stations E content 5. Your mods 6. How much power you're making 7. If you're running meth Basically at this time, nobody can make that promise. I will say that there are quite a few people running 100% E85, myself included. However, if you plan on making 500hp and/or running your AFRs in the 10.5 (which you shouldn't)....then your HPFP probably won't be able to keep up. All of my pump kits (other than stock of course) max out the HPFP, so if you're running stock turbos, then yes, with the proper tuning you should be able to run 100% E85 provided everything else is healthy. In your case, if you are running meth as your signature states then you can definitely run 100% E85 and make 500hp or more. Also, if you're light bolts as your sig says...then all of the above applies and you wouldn't necessarily need to run meth. However, meth still has it's benefits for IAT's and again, that can also be dependent on your tuning. As for pricing info...I don't think I can discuss that on this site or post a link to my site...but you can get there by.... simply entering my E90post username followed by .com Sorry for the inconvenience and as things progress I may look in to becoming a vendor on this site. Thanks

I love my stage 2! Works perfect, easily outflows my hpfp. Most importantly, as an engineer, I can really appreciate something that's properly designed. I like that the venturi is tuned to provide more that adequate bucket fill while maximizing pump output to hpfp. Well done Steve.
