I had my 325i piggy backed with BMS Power Box back in Nov '09 for a few kw & extra torques. The main boost comes from improved throttle response. Great upgrade for a few hundred $$$.

My E90 tuned by Evolve Technik, cost me around $1600. I was promised the same gain with yours. Feel so much difference after the tune, haven't dyno-ed it yet. I reckon if you aren't thinking to upgrade the car for a while, then it's a good mod.

here it is guys...
got the car on the Advan dyno early Saturday arvo (sorry BMROXM5 I was a bit late). Unfortunately at this stage the result is INCONCLUSIVE. I'd like to give City Performance the benefit of the doubt and have another look at the car and map they uploaded. I went back and saw them this morning to show them the dyno result and question them a bit. They are taking the car back tomorrow afternoon for another dig at glory, therefore will have the car back again on Wednesday and possibly another dyno date with Pete at Advan this coming Saturday (if he can fit me in). The actual results from the dyno was only 104.2kw at the wheels... pretty standard! and nowhere near the results from BMROXM5's 325. City Performance did mention that it was the first BMW car they had done with their new 'tool' (not sure what this means) so something may have gone wrong which is hopefully the case. Silver Zeus - positive to know you had a similar if not the same ecu re-map with a definite change. |

Final Outcome - City Performance re-looked at the map and re-installed it a few times to make sure it was on there. They put it on the dyno before and after the map installation this time also (I did have to ask). There were no real power gains other than a few kw's and about 10nm of torque.
Apparently there is a glitch which they cannot identify and have put it back to the tuner in Germany to work out. If they have a solution in the near future i'll probably give it another go but for now I got a full refund on the $1595 which wasn't any issues at all for them which is quite nice to know that they would honour their claim of 31kw or my money back. |

Good and bad to hear
They have had a couple of other cars this week that have had the same issue as you. Ended up having zero to very little gains. If City Performance dont change their 'tuner' soon, their reputation will turn to shit. |
