Could you PM me how much this cost? I'm in Germany and wondering if it would be worth it to save up for after I'm out of warranty.

I'd drive from GE to the UK and stop at the 'ring on the way back. That is if I could get my wife to buy into it. Maybe if I took her to a play in London or something.....

Thanks

Really following this post closely...... my car is still stock, waiting for turbo upgrades to come along and this seems very promising. Keep us posted..... well worth a trip from Holland to the Uk if everything works out for you.

Greetings,

Mark

It's interesting to note that there are quite a lot of Europeans posting and showing their interest for these upgrades.

@ASR: Have any of your kits been sold to Europe yet?

Hi Mark / Alpine,

I'm also more then interested to get my hands on a solid turbo upgrade solution.

Maybe we can setup a kind of vendor demo day? I'm from the Amsterdam area....

would it even be possible to get the parts and have it installed in Europe? Or would we need hands on support from for example ASR?

you can definetely get the turbos shipped to Europe and have your shop installing them. The tuning is a different problem. If you go with ASR Shiv can just mail you the maps i suppose.

With the Turbo Dynamics thing upgrade, once my car is back on the road and has been tuned properly by the guys at DMS, then it will be the one and only demo car !! So if anyone wants to come over to the UK to try, you'll be more than welcome. I think I'll be meeting up with Alpina_B3_Lux anyway, isn't that right Marcel ?!!

There will be, eventually, a fixed cost for the turbo upgrades, and then there will be also be a basic flash available, which will then be further tweaked to suit each individual car. The flash would have to be done in the UK, or there is the possibility that DMS can travel to another country in Europe as long as the cost of travel is covered.

You can count on that, my friend! I'll be over in the UK in March at the latest, I think, maybe earlier depending on when I'll make the appointment with Bird's. Of course, if you're at the Ring earlier than that, give me a holler and I'll be there!

Courious about the price tag for that, but I guess it's still a bit early for that. In any case, great job and kudos to Tone and the guys at Turbo Dynamics!

Alpina_B3_Lux

P.S. I know you're an AT, but do you think for the MT cars you need a clutch upgrade? Just thinking about the 600+Nm with that turbo upgrade...

Keep us posted and thanks for all the testwork

Greetings,

Mark

I wish I could ship my car over there and drive it with you all... otherwise I'd be stuck with some shitty rental.

shitty rental? you can rent almost every car you want. Porsches, M3. Megane RS, 135i, all with roll cages, bucket seats, suspension upgrade....

e.g. here:
http://www.rent-racecar.de/english/v...ices/index.htm
http://www.rsrnurburg.com/index.php?...id=5&Itemid=26

so it doesn't need to be a shitty rental (be carefull though with the insurance. it is quite normal that you sign to pay up to 5000 / 8000 euro incase of damage)

That would be quite an expensive trip if I wanted to drive something fun.

e92fan, your testing is really important and looks promising. I've been told a price and is was very reasonable. Turbo Dynamics needs your turbos for 3 days to upgrade them. I hope, everything works out as planned.

Thanks for your testing efforts !
