Washing Media with ONR
I see that many prefer using a grout sponge with ONR. What other kinds of washing media work well with ONR even with a very dirty car? I have a sheepskin mitt that I can use but was wondering if there were better options out there.

a lot of people on autopia use microfiber micro chenille mitts
a lot of other people like sheepskin mitts some people use foam sponges. i would choose a sponge with ONR too. i've got a sponge from detailer's domain and it's pretty good imo. i would like to try the zymol sponge next. the only thing you want to be careful about is whether you've got too much dirt on your media or not. if your car is really dirty, i'd suggest getting yourself a spray bottle, use some ONR or degreaser and spray it all over the car. leave it to sit for a bit then use ONR to clean up |

If you use a sheepskin mitt, make it an ONR-only mitt. I wouldn't mix ONR mitts with regular soap mitts, because ONR mitts can be harder to get completely clean / release all the dirt. ONR tends to pull the dirt deep into the wash media and not want to release it. So a big key to ONR media is to get something that releases dirt easily IMO.
I like using the Lowes Proline grout sponge with ONR. See this thread on autopia.org: http://autopia.org/forum/car-detaili...ut-sponge.html

Grout sponges are nice but cannot conform into small crevices without too much pressure which can lead to marring. I suggest picking one up anyway and also having a seperate sheepskin or micro-chenille mitt for those crevices and hard to reach areas.
Tip: Grout Sponges tend to be dense and stiff when new, let it soak in a mixture of water and soap overnight with a weight or heavy object to keep it submerged. Doing this softens it up pretty well.

I like to use ONR with the dread lock microfiber mits. I'd say give all of them a try and see what you like best.

We just had a custom made grout sponge built to order from Lake Country, and we got it in stock the other day. It's ultra soft, porous, and has two sides cut similarly to the Ulti-Mit to allow for contamination to be pulled away from the surface. I'm excited to give it a shot with ONR. I'll try to get it up on our site for our 25% off sale.

Doesn't really matter what you use. I use sheepskin. It gets really filthy after the wash though. I just spritz it with some Total Auto Wash and it removes the dirt like magic.
