Hit & Run - I95 Near Greenwich/stamford

Not expecting much but its worth the few minutes this post will take.

Traveling southbound in I95 near exit 5 in CT around 7PM, i was in the middle lane when some douchebag B6 A4 avant comes flying up the left lane, realizes there is a truck going kind of slow and he tries to dip in front of me but there wasn't nearly enough space for a Fiat let alone an a4 avant. He swipes me pretty hard and dips and tries to leave. I tried to keep up with him and threw a god damn half CEL which I dont even know why. CEL went away after restarting the car to drive home so who knows what the hell it could have been. Filed a police report and all that.

If anyone travels that way frequently and knows of a graphite (maybe blueish) b6 a4 avant with NY gold plates that normally drives like a douche, or sees him sometime soon grab a plate #. Might possibly have white paint on the passenger side.

That's just wrong! I can't even imagine how I'd have reacted, but I'm glad to see you came out ok. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you, though I'm usually a bit north of where you were.

Having both my bumpers and hood violated in hit n runs I would love to see some kind of justice exacted.

Sucks to hear. Did you try to remember his plates? Damage looks cleanable from this picture. PM me if you want to stop by tomorrow and I can clean/clay/buff it.

Thanks for the offer. The fender and bumper have cracks in it just didn't get pics of it. The door may be able to be cleaned and polished out I'm not sure. I'd be surprised if the panel isn't dented at all.

Wow that sucks and even worse that you got the CEL following him... MAC will do a great job but if you want someone local that's reasonable you can try Franks in Port Chester. He's the one that painted my front and rear bumpers and did an outstanding job and his prices are pretty low. Anyways good luck on getting it fixed, hope you find the guy

Honestly... that is kind of funny/ironic how it threw a CEL on you when you finally needed your car the most. Best of luck with your issue though

Best of luck to you, I drive on those roads all the time and this is the first time I've heard that happen, but then again it is I95. Even more ridiculous that another person in a luxury car would do that and not give a crap about their own vehicle just to pass someone at high speed.

Beats the hell outta me, especially considering if he was really in a pinch the shoulder on 95 could fit a semi truck.

My feeling is that he really thought he was some kind of race car driver and he found out the hard way that he wasnt, and he didnt realize I'm a tuned 335 and would be up his ass in a second.

Yea as you can tell by his tire on my door, he had no chance of cutting in front of me. it wasnt even close. I could somewhat understand if he clipped my bumper or even my fender but he was off by about 8 feet.
