Oh my god. Are you serious????
I understand your son is alergic and you want to remove the dog. But you got that as a gift and now you want to make money on it? What do you mean by trade? Trade for another dog?.... |

What's so wrong with selling a dog? Don't you buy them from shops?

wow, i was speechless.
Trading a dog? 4 years old is young? I cant imagine giving a dog away let alone having it for 4 years and ask to trade it. Wow, i do feel terrible for poor doggy. You think its going to be easy for a dog to get used to new owners. Ohh wait i forgot, you dont care.

He was given the dog as a gift........He should feel bad enough that he has to give the dog away, instead he decides to make some profit off of it. Even if he bought the dog, he should be giving the dog for free at 4 years old - It's called adoption...

u guys r brutal.. the OP could totally mean trading the puppy for another hypo-allergenic puppy, not car parts b/c he/she didn't specifically state that.. and yes, puppies r purchased.. they r a commodity and despite wut u guys think about that market, it exists.. i'm actually pretty appalled by the narrow-mindedness exhibited in this thread..

I'm sorry, but after 4 years of having a dog as a companion, I don't think it should be considered a "commodity"...Sure maybe in the first couple months when the dog has not gotten the chance to really become attached to its owner, but after 4 years? And I HIGHLY doubt that he's trading his dog for another...

I actually think selling a dog is better, as the person getting/buying will do so because they "want" to adopt the dog. But that's my opinion.
