Can someone help me ID this exhaust? (video)

OK, this is probably going to sound like a dumb question, but I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out.

Short story: I just bought an 08 335i sedan that was sold to me by a non-BMW dealership as having an "aftermarket exhaust." No other info was available, and I do not have any information on the previous owner, other than the location of the dealership that the car was traded in/shipped from, and the BMW service records.

Here's where I could use some opinions. Here is a video of my exhaust at startup/idle and light rev. The video includes both outside the car and inside, though the camera did not pick up as much sound on the interior shots (it is much, much louder inside the car than the video demonstrates).

As I don't have access to a lift I can't exactly crawl under there and see if it's missing a cat, though that might be what I need to do. Can anyone take a look and give their opinion? I am new to the E90 and although I've done lots of searching and YouTube watching, I am at a loss.

In case the video isn't showing (it wasn't a minute ago), here is the direct url: http://youtu.be/-RcwmDEdRdI

[u2b]http://www.youtube.com/-RcwmDEdRdI[/u2b]

Before I decided on this car I test drove 3 other 335i sedans and decided on this one as it had the lowest miles, most warranty remaining, and most complete service history (the 19" black M wheels didn't hurt either ) None of the other cars I test drove sounded or drove anything like this, so it must not be completely stock.

Any help is appreciated.

================ Edited to add Photos ================

Hope these help (+ a couple of the car ). These were as good as I could get in my driveway.

almost impossible to identify by sound alone. several exhausts sound very similar, it's hard to pick them out by just the sound.

here's an idea:

post full pics of the car, including undershots of the mufflers (which you can take without needing a lift). maybe we'll be able to identify the car or previous owner, or the brand exhast after seeing the mufflers themselves.

Thanks. I kind of figured that might be the answer. I'll do that shortly...

cool

chances are, the previous owner was a member here and maybe someone remembers him/her.

muffler shots also help, as a lot of exhausts have unique muffler configurations.

It honestly looks like my stock mufflers I had on my E92 335i. If you look closely at the picture the exhaust is cut from where it connects to the mufflers. Maybe im seeing it at a wrong angle but it looks like it just has the exhaust cut and they left the stock mufflers on.

Definitely a stock system with electronic cutouts!!!! Try to find the switch somewhere!!!! It has to be inside your car!!!
Good news: That shit is fucking awesome!!!!!!
Bad news: The previous owner of that car prob modded the shit out it, beat the shit out of it, then got rid of it. Nobody with bs mods (or anybody in their right mind) does e-cutouts without heavy hitter shit on board. I would be concerned about the exhaust to say the least.....

Man, If you couldn't notice that cutout (or didnt know what to look for when shopping for a 335) I seriously hope you are ready for the ownership problems associated with the 335. Idk if I would have knowingly purchased a 335 with something on it like this. Matter of fact, I would not buy a modded 335 that was not CPO or ext warranty at all. You better start schooling yourself on the car you just baught man. Not ripping you bro, I just hope you know what you got into.

Thanks everyone. Now that I look at the photos I do see what you're talking about. Like I said I'm new to the E90, so wasn't sure what "stock" should have looked like from under the car (I didn't even look closely at the photos until after I'd posted them; I do see the cutout though). I am not new to modding, so I did buy this knowing that it had obviously been modded, and that modded cars typically come with a different set of issues than stock cars. It has an ext warranty, as well as 1 yr of remaining factory warranty. Otherwise I would not have bought it.

I come from a background in DSMs and VWs which have a completely different upgrade path than these cars, which I am still learning about. My plan with this car was to "mod the shit out of it" anyway.

I was able to do a bit of digging today and I did find out who the previous owner was (I found a warranty repair slip folded inside the owner's manual from when the HPFP was replaced). I might post in a regional forum to see if anyone in NYC/surrounding recognizes the car.

The previous owner would have put it somewhere easy to reach it...

Yep, found it. It's under the steering column. I also pulled the car into the garage to take a better look, and they are QTP.

The cars I modded previously never used e-cutouts so although I knew they existed I had honestly never seen one before today. I feel like an idiot
