if its like every other bimmer with a squeaky steering wheel it happens when cold.
you can remove the steering wheel and grease up the hub, but the real solution is actually (in other bimmers at least) under the car, the rack/pinion just needs a good greasing up. The steering column is hollow, so it sounds like it's the steering wheel itself squeaking when the noise is actually generated at the other end of the column under the car.

Seriously, just let the steering wheel break in. I promise you it will eventually stop squeaking.

I always undo the lock on the telescoping wheel. Move it back and forth, up and down and then position again to your liking. It works all the time. Give it a try
