Fog Light Switch Mod
Hey everyone. I was browsing another BMW forum site and found out we don't have to order the European light switch to use the rear fogs. The button is already there but it has small tabs keeping us from pushing the button. If you remove the light switch and cut the tabs you will have a functioning switch allowing you to turn on the rear fogs.

Did mine also during early ownership. Good for those people that tailgate. Blast them with these bright lights and they will def back off

some pointer after doing this yesterday: the actual piece can be removed by carefully pulling it out starting from the bottom of the switch assembly. When you get to the actual fabrication it is blatant that there are three tabs holding the button from being functional. Two that are easily reached because they are the lower portion of the button and the other sits in between two buttons. I used an eye glasses type of screw driver to do this mod. Maybe this will help...

In the old.days you could actually buy the switch assembly which had the proper symbol on the button itself. Sadly BMW put the.kibosh on that.

Rear Fog Light
Am finally getting around to doing this rear fog light thing.
Can you cut the little plastic stays for the rear fog light switch button from the outside using an Xacto knife without taking the entire switch assembly out? Thought I'd ask before trying it and regretting it.
