Need your Wheels repaired? Check these guys out!
I totally scraped the hell out of my wheel a few weekends ago (about an entire foot worth on a curb I was backing out of and got distracted) and I used http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/dallas/services.html to get it done. Mobile repair guy came to my job and did it in about an hour. I'm very impressed with these guys. Great quality work and great customer service. Here's a pic of before and after.

How much did they charge if you don't mind sharing?
I take mine to a ghetto looking place in East Dallas called Ross Discount Tires and they do a ridiculously good job. My wheels are powder coated and they refinished and re-powder coated my wheel after I hit a pothole a few months back and cracked it in 3 places. A mobile place is definitely handy though.

I got more than one wheel worked on, and got a deal. I won't go into details, but I know the default quoted price per wheel is $140.

I had one of my hyper-silver wheels on my E92 done a couple weeks ago in Austin during the Tri-Marque Concours by these guys. The finish was coming off on the outer edges, so they removed the wheel and cleaned it, deflated the tire and popped the bead so they could mask it, and proceeded to sand and smooth it and re-sprayed the wheel with the 3-stage process (black, silver, clear). It looks great and matches my other wheels exactly. These guys operate in most of the major TX cities and are well worth the reasonable cost!

Yeah, we all feel the same way, but wheels seem to have a way of eventually needing this. I went 2 years without a blemish, and then one of the four decided to shed its finish - probably some sort of factory defect. This wheel service rocks for situations like that. They come to YOU!

After about 2 years of being incident free on my Avant Garde M310s, I just scraped a crub pretty bad that caused my passenger side rear wheel to look about as bad as the OP. Damn curbs!!
I sent in a quote request to Tim @ AWRS. Thanks OP for the recommendation, I will definitely post up the results, which will hopefully be as good as yours! |
