The new car bug sucks..

F30 is available for sale next spring/summer. Don't know if I'll be able to wait until September for xDrive. May go RWD F30 Sport with dedicated snows for winter.

xDrive is less of an issue for me, I was going to order a RWD 335i/335is anyway. My company car is a RAV4 V6 so I can take that anytime the weather really sucks. But for 99% of the days, RWD+snows will be fine.

If they're delaying xDrive until next September, I wonder if that means F32 will be pushed back even more? BMW isn't making this easy!

So the company that sold me those replicas is being really good about refunding me. I don't have the cash yet, but once I do I'll update more. Really good customer service IMO. Something thats quite rare to see these days.

I'll be ordering the OEM Mtech kit soonish. It all depends if I want to order it now, or just buy some good snow tires and hope I make it through the winter with RWD lol. Either way OEM mtech kit is coming...just a matter of when.

I made it through last winter with RWD and snow tires without any trouble whatsoever, you should be fine.

Anyone on here know of any ways to make the 335i louder on the cheap without drone? I've done the golf tee mod by unplugging, but it's still a bit quieter than I'd like.

EDIT: While I'm asking questions, I see a lot of people on here run scoops and an intake. Worth the cash without a tune, or should I wait until I have a tune?

What about resonator delete? Made a subtle but nice change in my 325i, I'd imagine you'd hear it quite a bit more with the turbo noise.

I think the F32, or new 4 series, is still expected to debut in 2013 as a 2014 model. Would love a 335 but may just go with a 328 + tune.

The tuning world for the 328 is going to be nuts. It's going to really change the landscape of this forum and of the 3 series in general.

I agree with that! The power of a 335 is appealing of course, but even the current 328 is no slouch (especially with 6MT). The N20 + tune will likely be an excellent car and fuel-efficient too.

Beautiful! I think I know exactly where you took that shot, was there a few summers ago. Absolute paradise.

If it was coming to the States at the same time as Europe, I'd be the first one in line to order one. But if they're still delaying it until Spring (and delaying xDrive until presumably MY2013), then I'd rather wait for the MY2013. Judging by BMW's past, they might have a new upgraded engine for that model year too. Then the coupe will debut with both new engines.

New engine for the 335 maybe but they're rolling out the N20 for multiple product lines so I'm sure that'll be the engine for the F30 328 throughout its lifecycle. Considering its tunability, you could easily get 335 power out of the 328.

Yup, tunability and MPG from the N20 are definitely attractive. But the other side of me wants the newest/biggest engine this time around. Decisions, decisions...

Indeed. I'm very glad I got the 328 this time around. The immense power of the 335 is incredible, but nothing beats the smoothness of an NA straight 6 with 3 pedals. If turbo and maximum MPG is the way of the future, I'm thrilled to have owned the last NA 3 Series BMW will produce stateside for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for that Jopa. I'm torn because I LOVE my 3.0 i6 325, but I always feel lame for not having the 335. I really don't know how much of an advantage the 335 would have in a daily driver for me personally. Maybe I should keep this, love it, pimp it out how I like it and just be happy and bill free for a while.
