Folks that do tracking (hot discs) never use the e-brake after their sessions, otherwise the discs are warped and ruined.

I've always wondered how this happens, since the e-brake isn't using the rear service brakes. It's a drum brake inside the rotor. Is it just the pressure on the inside of that drum with the very hot rotors that cause it to actually bend a little?

I just use the e-brake on mine, but my driveway is pretty flat, and I could leave it with nothing set and it wouldn't go anywhere.
