I got a little help from a member every one knows!!

Hi all,

Well I did it again and did a little mod today.

I would like to thank DESI4life10 for helping me out on this mod!!!

So you all should know that the newer 335i's have changed the mirrors from a nice sporty look to a big dumbo looking set anf the 2011 335is got the same thing.

So I bought a pair of M3 mirrors, because I really hate the dumbo set, and DESI4life10 helped me out to install them.

I was worried because I did ask all of the right questions about them, made sure they had the right features on them, but I forgot to ask if they was for a LHD M3 or a RHD one. I only remembered after I paid for it, and it was half way here from Germany, that I forgot to ask. So I asked the seller which ones it was out of and they said RHD but it should not matter.

Well ok then I should have no problem installing them and working properly, until I seen two members selling there M3 mirrors because they needed the RHD ones but bought the LHD ones by mistake, and I think the problem they was having was the angle and that the switch to controled the mirrors was in reverse.

So now I am getting worried that they would not work for me and I would have to trade with one of the two.

So when they finally came I called DESI4life10 and Havok to help out today but Havok couldn't, but DESI4life10 said "Man don't worry about it and come over and we will work on it.

So to make a long story short, we did the install and they are perfect, but they have red caps on them, but I got some BSM paint in a spray can made for them to paint until I can get it done the right way.

And DESI4life10 was helping another member with his car at the same time.

DESI4life10 thanks again, and YOUR the MAN!!!

You asked for my help??! Ahhh I just asked if I could tag along to watch....i'm pretty sure I couldn't have helped out since I can't install a light bulb let alone these mirrors lol.

Anyhow sorry I couldn't join you guys, had to take my mother out for the day and run some errands. Can't leave my mom stranded

Great job DESI!!!! You are a surgeon at this kind of stuff.

But now seriously, great job! I was actually paying attention to this fact today when I was "tailing" a 335 on the hwy, the stock mirrors on the newer ones are huge !

LOL Thanks, I have some paint that a shop made for me so I can spray them for now to match the car.

And yeah big dumbo ears!

Desi knows his stuff! The mirrors are working fine being from a RHD M3 they tilt in reverse and everything. So I am thinking that it really came from a LHD M3 or RHD and LHD are the same thing.

The Trinidad colors are red, black, and white, but I don't have any red accent to keep that color code.

Congrats far on a great mod. Seeing the pictures really show the difference between the old and new :-). I am also digging the red caps but know it wont happen..hehe :-)

Glad we were able to make use of these mirrors and the added benefit of the euro glass(soo convenient).
