Too Ugly To Live: Should these 6 Cars be Banned from the Road?

#1 Ugliest car the Pontiac Aztec

The number one most unsightly car goes to Pontiac Aztec. The late Aztec was canned due to lack of sales. What a surprise. It wins our award for the ugliest car ever. A combination of its shape and angular body-lines. Part Minivan part SUV makes for bad design in almost every case.
#2 Ugliest car the Chevy Malibu Maxx

The Chevy Malibu Maxx is similar to the Pontiac Aztec. They share an unsightly roofline and 5-door design. 5-doors can look sexy, just look at the Mazdaspeed 3 for example.
#3 Ugliest car the Dodge Magnum

The Dodge Magnum takes the number 3 place on our list. Considered to be a car reminiscent of a souped-up hearse. What were the Magnum’s designers thinking? Did they wanted to make a car as long and wide as possible? And that’s what sent good looks out the window.
#4 Ugliest car the Chevy HHR

Our next car, the Chevy HHR could be considered a pair with the Chrysler PT Cruiser. The PT Cruiser came to the market first and the HHR was quickly produced to compete with it. Unfortunately the General Motors designers that made the HHR made it even more ugly then the ugly PT Cruiser and thats why the PT Cruiser is our next car.
#5 Ugliest car the Chrysler PT Cruiser

The only positive about the PT Cruiser is that it is slightly better looking then the HHR.
#6 Ugliest car the Scion XB

The Scion XB tops off the list with the styling of an oversized cardboard box, with 4 undersized wheels. Aerodynamics was not high on the designers list when they designed the XB. At slower speeds the XB does well where the wind resistance is much less.
Even Scion Agrees

There's nothing wrong the the Magnum, even though its not my cup of tea.

The old xB was way better than the new one.

ugliest cars

Aztec: Fugly! looks like parts of 10 different cars melded into one disaster of a car.

Malibu: It's okay. Very plain and uninspiring.

Magnum: Looks pretty good. Not my thing, but there are plenty on the road here.

HHR: Better than the PT Cruiser. Not too bad. Saw Chevy's bringing out a panel truck edition of it. That looks pretty cool, but it wouldn't be on my want list.

PT Cruiser: I think it was cool when it first came out. But now it's just getting stale. Plus, I've noticed all the people that drive them can't seem to find the gas pedal or turn signal. Those were standard, right?

xB: Looks like a Matchbox car. Ambitious, successful but I don't want to drive something so boxy. Tc is my favorite Scion.

RX: I liked the older model RX. My stepdad sold Lexus for years, so he brought one home now and then. These cars are amazing in quality and craftsmanship.

They left off the Chevy Aveo hatchback. It should be on the list for being just a total ugly piece of shit. I was punished severely by enterprise one time I had to drive one. Lets just say it turned me off to Chevy probably forever. South Korean made POS.

you're welcome!

I was in traffic today and realized that the Pontiac Grand Am is an ugly car. I mean, there is SO MUCH going on: curves, indents, too much sculpting and noticeable gaps.

I had one as a loaner when my car was being repaired overnight. It was a 2-door and was so freaking oversized and heavy. Granted, I drive a MINI Cooper, and most, well all, cars are smaller than mine. But the Grand Am just seemed too big for a coupe. The inside was just as bad.

The Magnum is probably the only car that I've seen recently that looks GOOD with 20"+ rims (Chrome aside :frown I think it, and the 300, have this chop-top "Gangster" (notice the "r") look that I like... and kinda makes me think of those little bullet-proof cars on Spy Hunter

BMW 700

So where does this one fit in the 'ugliest car' category? - notice where the access to the gas cap is - (shamelessly stolen from:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bmw700sport1.jpg )

I like it! Looks kinda like a Schwimmwagen.

jgprather: While my wife's Saab was in the shop for 4 months following an accident, we had a Pontiac Grand Prix. My wife took my car and I had the Pontiac. I call that my "automotive purgatory." It was sheer hell. I still wince when I see them.

They really suck.

That's why they're such a darling of Rental Fleets. I'd love to see the statistics on Pontiac vehicles sold to the public vs. fleet or rental sales.
