Is there a way I can 'save' my entire address book from my idrive somewhere? Everytime the dealer updates the software they clear out my entire address book. It's a PITA to manually re-enter them all.

The phonebook is transferred from the phone. It´s not something that requires manual entry under normal circumstances.

I think he is referring to the Navigation address book.

Oh. I guess so many people are asking about the address book from their mobile....

Re the satnav, I am not aware but last time my car was upgraded I did not lose the entries (went from 22.x to 24).
