New member, been doing some mods.

Hi all,
We recently purchased our first BMW, it is a 320D.
Great car, handles like a dream.
I started to personalise the car a bit with the following mods.
1) White instrument cluster lighting
2) White climate control display
3) Led halo rings (did not like the factory yellow look)
4) Led smoke tail lights by DEPO
5) Digital speedometer readout in the centre of the cluster
6) Tinted windows

Still to come is a decent exhaust tip (do not like the droopy look)

Any other suggestions are welcome

Looks good man! You need the exhaust mod badly.

It is not expensive, but it is difficult, you need good soldering skills and some proper tools

here is the link

It is a good idea to by some extra leds as they are easy to damage when soldering

The white cluster light looks good however it clashes with the rest of the centre console lights.

I would have thought the exhaust tip would have been the number 1 thing to go first.

I do not agree with the clashing, or maybe i am just used to it , the Q7 has white instruments and red for all the buttons and it looks very nice

Raihax.. I'm with you. soldering irons are not my friend.

however, I do have a friend who happens to be particularly good with them. interested in a group buy?

Welcome to E90post xlr8it,

White LED looks nice! but the orange led is the least stress on your eye for a long distance trip.

+100 on new exhaust tip, thought my oval tip was bad but pointing down is shockingly......... :/

You can follow my or Luster's signature for mods for 320d.

Luster,
you need 30 for the cluster and 8 for the climate control, but i would suggest getting some extra as they are easily damaged when soldering.

Here are a couple of pics of my Q7 , as you can see it has white instruments and red every thing else from the factory, I like the look of that.
