335i Coupe Lease opinions

Hey I just joined the site and im looking to convert from MB to BMW (335i). Im looking to get the 335i coupe within the next month or so. I would like to lease it but i was wondering if this deal is at all possible.
I want to put 5000 down and get my payments at 400 a month. It worked for my 2005 C230 and thats when it was only out for 3 months and it was an all new body style (amg bodykit etc..). This is also assuming I have perfect credit, which I do. So do you think 5000 down and 400 a month is possible? All I want in the car is automatic trans. and parktronic.

No it is the parking sensor that tells you if you are going to hit something while in reverse.

PDC - Park Distance Control on the 335i. You may want more options once you get inside the 335i Coupe or Sedan; most get at least the Sport package and Premium package. Also, $5k down on a lease is a lot; all you're doing is "prepaying" all that $$ upfront as opposed to the monthly payments (and your out-of-pocket costs will be like $7k on a lease???). Why not put down 1/2 that, ~ $2,500 (pocket the other half or keep it in an interest-bearing acct. and use it for the add'l $$ each month in the payments) and get into a 335i lease for like $550/mo? Why do you need it at $400/mo.? Also, you're monthly payment obviously depends on the lease term -- 24 mo., 30 mo., 36 mo. and the mileage allotment -- 10k/yr., 12k/yr, 15k/yr, etc.

Not to pry, but usually buying or leasing a new $40k-$50k car means having $550+/mo. payments...if that's something that you're not ok with, then you may want to think about alternative vehicles. Yes, you could defintely get your mo. payment to $400/mo. if you do a major cap cost reduction; hey, if you wanted, you could lease a loaded '07 BMW 750i for $400/mo...if you put ~$15k down of course.

Thanks for the input but you havnt answered the question all I wanted to know was if it was a possible deal? I know im prepaying with the other money down but i like having lower monthly payments. i was thinking of a 30 month or 36 month with 12k/yr. Also my bad on the PDC as i said im switching from MB and they call it parktronic so that was a BMW newb at its best. So with the following
335i coupe w/ sparkling graphite ext.
black leather
auto tranny
PDC
30 or 36 mo. at 12k/yr 5000 down at 400/month is that possible or no?

go to the bmwusa website, go to lease options, build your car, then go to payment's option (cant remember exact name) and you can mess around with down payment's and lease length, etc. The lease deals they have on the website are pretty much what your gonna get at the dealership. My dealership was actually HIGHER than what it said on the website, but you never know...

If you want leather and not leatherette, then it's worth it to get the Prem. package with the other stuff in it, and the Sport package is almost "a must have" for the sport seats and the 18" wheels. I thought I answered your question about the $400/mo...yes, you can, but you'll have to put some $$ down -- not sure if your proposed $5k down will be enough or not???? You'll probably be close to $400/mo., especially if you put the $5k down on a 36 mo./12k mi/yr. lease. You may want to think about doing multiple security deposits with that $5k instead of a downpayment...do a search for MSD on this forum. Also, It all depends on your options and your total selling price (any discount off MSRP); one good thing is that the Nov. leasing MF just went down a bit, so that should help you. Good luck!

Learn how a lease works and how to calculate one. On the back of an envelope if necessary. Asking for numbers here is fine but it will all become gobbledegook the moment you sit down at the finance guy's desk.

I guarantee it.

+1
Calculate it yourself, and just make sure your payment ends up being where its supposed to be... including taxes and fees, dont be afraid to walk away and do some more calculations, they will hold the car for you...

IMHO, 5k down is a lot of money to lose if the car gets totalled... just something to think about...
