I absolutely love it! I'd skip the optional graphics picutered here, and opt for the matte Alpina blue - that would be an awesome car!

... why ~100hp/100 lb-ft gain over a stock n55, but only 0.4 faster 0-60?

I wonder which engine is being used (N54 or N55)?
There is a KW badge on the front bumper. Does this mean the suspension is a modified KWv3? If they had just started with an M-Sport E92 this would have looked so much better. The brakes upgrade is a solid one as well as the exhaust and tune.

Ha, I agree it's not going to be a good price/performance buy BUT Alpina is the most reputable BMW tuner in the world. There's no way they'd slap a POS piggyback on top of the ECU. They actaully tear down the motor and install lower compression Mahle pistons so they can turn up the boost safely. Any other tuners do that?

Some things I like, some I don't. Part of the appeal ( for me) of the 335 is the wolf in sheeps clothing aspect of the car. Alpina is ripping off the sheepsuit and sharpening up the fangs. For me, that's not appealing. But getting away from the exterior of the car, I really like the interior. In particular I do like the painted trim pieces on the inside. This is an option on that the Porsches have that I always thought was interesting. I don't know how you can't love the work they've done on the engine, suspension and brakes. Is it cost effective? Maybe not, but anyone that thinks they can just go and duplicate their work with a few mods at home is fooling themselves and will end up against the wall on the back turn. I haven't driven the transmission and frankly I find the option disappointing. So there you have it: Some good, some bad.

Pretty much all Alpina cars will have an AT. I like the fact that its a complete package. The B3 is a bad ass car, don't care for the exterior upgrades, as I prefer more of a "sleeper" look. But, this should give an M3 a run for its money.

I like the car. The graphics are an optional vinyl package and can be skipped. Alpina has a long history as a BMW tuner and now make a nice lineup of cars that are faster and more sporty than the standard production line while offering a different mix of sport and luxury than the M cars. Everything I've seen says the Alpina cars ride more nicely than a standard BMW sport suspension, but offer handling that is comparable to an M. They also have a wider power band & automatic transmissions that are more suited towards daily driving compared to the traditional M car which were optimized for high RPM performance. I think that they've complemented M cars nicely while offering production integrated with BMW.
