Southport, Merseyside: Snowing steadily here & settling, temperature around zero, think I'll go out for a play later & see how the Conti winter tyres hold up

In South Norfolk had another load in the night, dumped on what was already laying, yesterday fog was thick here as well. Stopped of at local co-op supermarket, no bread, no milk, no potatoes, so I bought a Car Mag and a case of Peroni !!

Chucking it down here in Reigate, and settling.
My daughters already been sent home from work. No winter tyres here,no car,so it's out with the sledge, and the dogs, for some fun in the park. Quote:

Telford, Shropshire.
Good steady snowfall and sticking. About 4 inches in the back garden, so sign of it letting up. Dont think the car will be going anywhere today!

North east, Sunderland.
Snowed Monday and Tuesday, nothing since. Looks like we've had a lucky escape, always a first time for everything.

Stafford has about 2-3 inches. Just been informed my little fella is being sent home from primary school as they are closing it at 12:30.
Still snowing quite heavy and sticking very well - temp is 0 deg C Just laughed immensely at my business partner trying to get his F10 5 series out of the car park on his big 19" wide alloys with barely legal tyres on - to me...to you....to me...to you lol |

Nice day up here, cold but sun trying to shine. No serious snow forecast today. A change from the original forecast earlier in the week, when we were forecast to get the worst of it. Good job the wind changed a bit.
Going out to wash the car off in a few minutes, get the last round of salt off. Sun breaking through as I type. HighlandPete |

Main roads might be ok but side roads are impassable without a 4x4 or winter tyres if there's any kind of slope. Presume you'd have come up to Swindon and then followed the 417/419 to Gloucester (Air Balloon)? Birdlip hill will almost certainly be closed if it isn't already. You may be able to make it if you go M4/M5 and come off at South Gloucester (junction 12 i think).
