RD Angel Eyes?

I was thinking of getting some RD Angel Eyes bulbs but I wanted to see if anyone out there has them. They are usually around $200 and I basically want to know if they are that big of an improvement over something like GP Thunders. Supposedly they are brighter due to using two LEDs. Anyone have any experience with these bulbs?

P.S. I just noted there is a version 2 of these bulbs that are about 90$ anyone know why they are cheaper?

The RD LED lights are invisible during the day but look great in the dark. If you're willing to spend $200 for the RD LED angels then maybe you should dig a little deeper and go with the HID angels instead @ $230.

Here's the link with a bunch of pics .......

How would I go about ordering these? Can you link me the DIY as well? (couldn't find it)

I am thinking of getting those after reading through that long thread, but I want them to match the stock xenons. Judging from what people have said and from the pics, 6000k is going to be the closest to the xenons. Are these (6000k) going to be bright during the day? I thought that only the bluer ones show up well during the day.

version 2 is only for e90 sedan, it doesnt apply to e92, but we have been fine with racing dash leds, definitely plug and play, install is ten minutes or less, cant say the same for hid angel eyes

From what I have read and seen they are more than visible during the day ....... however, I'm unsure if they would be the best match to the OEM xenons. The 20,000K at night are a bit more blue so anything less kelvin would be a closer match.

Some of the links below go back to when the HID kit was first offered. Hope these help to make up your mind .....

Here's the link for the DIY:

Here are a few other links for those who have purchased this kit and their overall impressions:

IMO, these aren't bright in "that" way. I know what you're talking about though. The ricers I've seen here are running the lights from Auto Zone etc. and the lights look to be just one continuous blob when on ....... and obnoxiously bright.

These are different in that although they're bright they don't look to be aftermarket since the outline of the angel eyes isn't compromised when lit.

Appreciate all the info but the more I look at pics the more I am starting to realize that the yellowish tint to my stock headlights looks pretty good with Monaco Blue. Kind of like the accent of my Saddle Brown.

Besides, I am starting to think that the money could be far more useful elsewhere on the car.

Thanks for all the help anyways.

Didn't realize that nobody else was enforcing the MAP pricing on these. Guess we won't either. Pricing adjusted

hey guys,

just read some of your blogs here. i got my rd angel eyes but have been putting off installation for a few weeks and looks like i'm finally going to install it this weekend.

quick question: how do you know which connector pins behind the led bulb is + or - before hooking it up to the connector plugs? i hope there isn't any error popping up or even worse blew the power unit.

thanks guys.
