My experience with BMW

I'd just like to take a moment to applaud BMW on their customer service! I went in on Monday to get my leather fixed due to cracking as well as worn out break pads. Although both of these things cost $$ they decided to do it for free for me. The brakes were done the day of and the leather was ordered in and done two days later and they did a great job. All for free!

Now you guys need to understand one thing to kind of appreciate this more. I'm only 18 and I was expecting to be treated like shit. It's funny because in Honda they treated me shitty and honda is much inferior to BMWs. I actually always try to look my best when going to the dealership so they'll take me more seriously but it's nice to know BMW aren't a bunch of pompous cunts.

Anyways 10/10! So glad I switched to BMW.

I go into the dealer dress like a slob and they treat me fine

Are you saying you are out of warranty and the dealer still fix your brakes and leather for free?

Good deal, but you can bet SOMEBODY paid for it. It was covered by something; CPO warranty, maintenance plan, etc...

My experience has been that each dealer is different. Some are poor, some are ok, and some are phenomenal. Sounds like you hit a home run with your dealer. It's in their best interest to keep you happy; that's what keeps you coming back.

Nope I'm still under warranty but both these things are wear and tear which apparently aren't covered. They made it free of charge anyway.

Also I just dress nicely so I'm taken more seriously. I'm not sure how they would treat some skid looking teenager with a nice car.

I think its ALL about how you treat them. If youre a dick thats probably (and they should) how they will treat you.

Leather should be cover by the bumper to bumper warranty and the brakes should be cover by the free maintenance plan. Do you guys have the free maintenance plan in Canada?

Glad you had good luck with your dealer. My Infiniti dealer would not cover worn leather (even though at the time the car was only a couple years old and other users were able to get their leather replaced). They gave me a really hard time about it. It really depends on each individual dealer.

I felt the same way with age. Recently I had an issue and needed a loaner, I was skeptical on what they would give me considering my 06 with 100k+ miles isn't worth anythkng to them lol but they gave me a '13 f30 and I was quite pleased

We do. Must be something like that because as someone above said "somebody is paying for these repairs" and you KNOW its NOT the dealer.

I went in, I asked to have the wipers changed under the maintenance warranty, and they said "That's not covered"

Certainly over a year ago though.

When my car was in warranty BMW wouldn't cover all the paint that came off my trim.

I started going in for service when I was 20 a few years ago and they always treated me great. Its all about your attitude and demeanor. Most younger people get treated like shit cause they lack self confidence so they know they can walk all over you.
