is the tire warranty worth it?

for a leased vehicle, what are the chances that any of the tires will blow?
should i get it if i am leasing for 3 yrs only (the warranty is around 750 which is like one payment already)

the tires are the normal 17" RFT for 335i without sports package and my lease is three years.

for normal nails on RFT, will they be able to just mend it without replacement
or
under what circumstances will the RFT need to be replaced, deep cuts, big nail holes, etc.

it looks like i got a bit hosed at 600 for 3 years, i guess they had to make up on the 3.5 per cent discount I got on the car.

Get it. with the pot holes on canadian streets, you never know, plus it's not only the tires, but the rims too!!

I just had a nail too close to the sidewall so they put a new rear 19" tire on under the warranty. :rocks:

I'm in areas with lots of nail/screws on the ground so it pays off for me to get it.

SONI, is that a BMW warranty/insurance? do you have the aftermarket coverage IN WRITING?

I never look at doc after I purchased...but it was explained by the salesman when he tried to sell me this warranty...coz I know I will put some aftermarket rims and I specially asked about aftermarketing rims coverage, and he said it will cover. Also, he said the warranty that he is selling to me may different to other BMW dealer. He higly recommand to get the warranty especially if I get aftermarket rims. So there, I purchased the warranty.

I got the Platinum tire and Rim protection plan and i confirmed with them that it does cover any aftermarket 'factory 1st quality' rims and tires put on the car as long as your contract doesn't specifically state the tire manuf. and size. There are other limitations.
