07 335i chirping when idling and driving.

So this started today. I will let the video speak for itself.
I have an 07 335i 6mt.

Any idea what is causing this??? Should I not drive it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A pulley going bad, maybe? Or your belt.

I'd inspect the belt for starters and see if it looks worn/cracked. Then either take the belt off and inspect the pulleys/idler or take it to a shop if you can't DIY

Thank you, I will check it out tomorrow to try to figure it out and start there.

Inspect all pulleys ASAP....Fast.
If the serpentine belt breaks during a drive.... There is a chance it could end up in the crank shaft housing of the block.... Then kiss your engine good bye for a long time.

Google 335i serpentine belt and you will see what I mean.

I know I didn't get very many responses but just in case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future and wants to know what it was, it was the tensioner. Bearings were completely shot on it. I ended up replacing the tensioner, serpentine belt, and upper and lower pulleys while I was at it and now it is running like a champ!

I am going to tackle this in the near future.
I hear a very very slight chirp but I think it is the belt, but will be all that you did while at it.
