Oil temp

Few questions.. Tried asking in other threads but no one answered. Don't tell me to search no one cares.

- how warm should the oil be before driving hard? I've heard everything from 160 to 210...

- before reaching that temp, I know not to exceed 3-4k rpm, but can I use boost to get to that rpm or should I stay really conservative with the pedal?

- finally, does the procede have a feature that alerts you when oil temp is up to operating level?

Thanks!

I use boost when oil not at good temp level but I don't floor it either. In city my temp around 235 to 245 and highway around 230 to 240

I'm pretty sure the owner's manual says to wait until 210 degrees which is roughly 6.2 miles of driving. I'm a work and don't have it on me but I remember reading something like that awhile back. Optimal temp is around 240.

I don't get on much boost until it's at around 200 deg, and I try not to really get into it before it's up to full operating temps (220-250 depending on outside temperature etc). I'd say the real key is to be easy until the needle gets off the 160 peg, but I get paranoid about the car so I take it slow until it's truly up to temp.

I know you're supposed to wait until you drive hard. But until it gets to that temp, using boost is fine? As long as low rpm?
