Buying a 3 series coupe M Sport

Thinking of changing my 2005 (54Reg) 120d sport. I paid a visit to my local dealer to see prices and offers.

I had a look at an ex-demo 61 reg 320d Msport auto with red leather, 19", USB, Xenon, Tinted windows, CC and other bits and pieces. Priced at 27K with 5K miles. Only basic sound package and no Service Package. I was offered £4K for my car (negotiable) and 6.9% APR over 4 Years.

After we left, dealer called saying I can have a Brand New 320d Msport manual exactly same spec as the ex-demo plus HK Sound and Service Package for £31K. Same deal on my car and APR.

I test drove the auto and I really liked it. Never driven a BMW auto with paddles but they work great.

I didn't do any real negotiation so I reckon I can get another £1.5k more on my car if I really try. My car is going to need new discs and pads plus new tyres all around soon.

Does it sound like a good deal? I am going to test drive and see an A5 and C class coupe.

Yes it is the soon to be replaced E92.
I just configured the same car on the BMW configurator and it comes at 35.5K so a 4.5K cheaper. Good discount but not as good as I originally thought.

Bought my e92 320d mSport last September and got just over 10k off list price of car and options we had. Plus 5 years free servicing!

Professional Media Package is a complimentary upgrade at the moment on new E92's. I would not consider buying a car without it, not just because it is a nice upgrade but because you could well struggle to sell it on in the future without it.

Be very careful buying the end of model car at this stage, unless you can get a seriously good deal.

There have been lots of people with talk of £10k off, and when cars now have Media Pro as standard that is something to consider.

You should try haggling a seven series

Buying a runout model now is crazy.
you would be far less exposed to depreciation (imminent) by leasing on a PCP at £400/m or less.

Seriously. The depreciation on an everyday model thats being run out is likely to be huge.
Let someone else take the risk mate.

I paid 21k for a 318d E90 Sport Plus model with USB, heated leathers, Climate Control & MV3s in Anthracite. Wondered if I got a good deal... 61 reg with 160 miles on the clock.
