New Member Introductions
Hi, Just joined the forum & wanted to say hi & introduce myself. I use to be on the Toronto Mazda 3 forum & currently own a Porsche Cayenne. Looking to get a 09 BMW 328i with Xdrive from Town & Country. Can't wait to start modding the car & got lots of great ideas & places to go in GTA from the forum so far.
Looking forward to meeting at the next car meet. Cheers Candyman |

I am a little worried about the mod bug, I think I'm already up to $2K so far on my wishlist & I didn't even get the car yet!! |

I was tempted & I'm actually kind of regretting not going for a 335. I just couldn't justify spending so much for what was originally suppose to be a 2nd car. I initially had a budget of $15-$20K to buy a beater car so that I could run separate errands from my wife (kept fighting for the Porsche).
I got sucked into the idea of owning a BMW & now I'm financing a car instead of just buying one outright & spent almost double my original budget. My wife would probably make me sleep in the 335 if I bought one. |

Well, I might be sleeping in a car soon.
You've convinced me to go for a 335. The car from Town & Country was in terrible shape & I asked for my deposit back. I'm now shopping for a 335. One quick question, I checked a 335 out & it sounded terrible. At idle, it was rattling a lot & even when he was shifting I could hear a lot of noise. He claims the turbos idle louder until they warm up. Is that true? Or is he blowing smoke up my a$$? |

I would get the car checked out by an independent shop such as RMP Motors.. |

The guy seemed shady, found a few holes in his story while showing me the car. It sounds like too good of a deal (possibly a lemon). I'll look elsewhere. |

Welcome! I was in a very similar position to you a few years back (originally set out for a stick 328xi...ended up with a 335i with 0 regrets). I would def have regret getting the 328i after sampling the n54 torque/powerband.
I would recommend a mint pre-owned 335i. That said, the 328 is still a great vehicle. |

My sister-in-law works for a used car dealer in NYC, so she said she'd keep an eye out for me. Hopefully she finds a great deal for me. |
