I still have a smile on my face about this purchase! Thanks!
You're very welcome! Thank you for the kind words.

The E92 rear brace clears without a problem. It provides just enough clearance over the Hotchkis brace which should really have come with something to shim it if needed. It has less clearance than that factory less than sufficient E90 brace, which was a dire mistake, IMO.

Did the exhaust come with any instructions with torque specs? I'm kinda crazy about torquing everything exactly

I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on this one and renting a spot at my local garage where they have a lift. Planning to do the exhaust swapperoo on my own...

Your car and mine look like twins... thanks for the awesome preview!

Mine did not. Instructions are not really needed as its pretty obvious which parts go where. Torque specs would be nice, but I just went with the German standard "gutten-tite".

I had AE install my exhaust. I don't recall instructions in the box. The install should be pretty self-explanatory, though. Just make sure you have a truck to haul off the stock exhaust as it's all one piece, large, and heavy. I have no idea what the torque specs are, but "gutten-tite" sounds about right for this application.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm not that technologically advanced. I believe there are plenty of others that have posted AE sound clips, including "tunnel clips."

I should have been more specific. I meant mellowed in tone/sound character. It certainly hasn't diminished in volume.

Yessir. On my personal car I run a Duke Dynamics quad diffuser on my quad exhaust.

I have some! Check out our youtube page- www.youtube.com/aeperformance

Of course. We wouldn't have released it if it didnt make any power. We recorded 12whp and 9wtq on a Dynamic Dynamometer on an otherwise completely stock vehicle. It is a complete downpipe back exhaust system WITHOUT an X-Pipe to maximize flow (equals more power on a turbo car with less backpressure), not to mention it is completely mandrel bent to rid you of the terribly contorted bends of the stock exhaust that definitely restrict flow as well. It's then topped off with custom mufflers that are tailored specifically to the N54 motor to ensure proper sound levels. No off the shelf generics here.

GIAC is using our exhaust system on their car, and used it during tuning. Aside from that, they're also using my personal car for testing and tuning at the moment.

PM/Email/Call if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help!

I think this has been mentioned somewhere, but I can't seem to find the specific thread; will the AE clear the stock rear brace on an e90? Expecting delivery of my AE exhaust anytime and want to make sure it'll fit without any issues.

Cheers!

Are you talking about this one?

If so, mine with the HFCs did rub ever so slightly. I had to shim the brace a bit to clear it. Without the HFC I don't see how it would be an issue. Nick said they hadn't seen it before so maybe my car is an anomaly or the pipes I have are ever so slightly off from the spec AE intended. Ever since I shimmed it I haven't heard it touch (I got vibration in the car before).

Hopefully that helps.
