New stance discovered by pothole
Since a few months I have been riding on lowering spring perches and stock sport springs and old performance struts on my 335i, a few weeks ago i hit a huge pothole and saw a difference in the front right and front left ride height so after looking at the suspension discovered that the front struts come with a metal tab welded that act as a stop on the wheel assembly and the one on the drivers side was bent, after looking at both sides I realized that I could cut the part that was not welded to the strut which is like a 1/4 inch on both sides lowering the strut assembly getting an extra 1/4 inch lower making the car sit between an eicbach and hr ride height witout sacrificing ride quality and travel, this idea came to me as it was used to be done to VW's specially superbeetles to lower the front nose a lill bit, here are the results with oem style 189 with stock size rubber soon to be changed by VMR 701's and some exterior mods in the next month or so.

BMW engineers must read this stuff and just shake their heads at all the different ways we "improve" our cars lol.

Yep, you can cut off the bottom ear of the "T" and gain 11mm of lowering. I have a buddy who did this on his 335i. He didn't even have to take the strut out to do it. Your the first person I have seen mention this on the site.

I'm going to be installing the old performance suspension on my E92 in a few weeks and I'll be taking a look at this...
Did I understand correctly that you have the old performance suspension (that tischer says is E90 only) on your E92? I ordered their kit figuring it was worth the risk of it not fitting, but I can't imagine that it won't fit.

Great, I'll be installing mine in a few weeks when I have a free Saturday.
