Any updates on the install? Did they fit? Do you have the coupe or sedan?

Unfortunately I have been away on a business trip and I haven't seen my car for over a month so I haven't been able to install anything in it.

But as soon as I do I will put a thread up detailing the trials and tribulations of my install

Revitol comes with a 90-day money back guarantee.

Revitol Stretch Mark Cream Review.
On the official site there’s some honesty about exactly what to expect, with the admission that total removal of stretch marks will probably not occur. There’s also the admission that with Revitol, preventative measures work best. A pregnant woman is advised to start using it in the early stages of pregnancy. If a woman doesn’t consider buying Revitol until after she’s had the baby, she’s advised to not hesitate. The makers concede that the product works best on the newer, deeply-hued scars.

I know this has become an old thread but I have just finished installing all the equipment and I am about tune it all up.

In the end I went with the Morel Hybrid Ovation's and they were a total ball ache to fit. I do not recommend them if you are looking for a straight forward replacement in an E92 because they are not a drop in replacement.

I do however recommend the speakers I am really pleased from the little I have heard from them I will give my opinion after I have tuned them up.

I will post on here how I finally got them in the car later

Both the Focals and Morels are OK depth-wise in the E90/91 but in the coupe/convertible you have less depth available. Both will need adapter rings though.

For a drop-in replacement, Jehnert do a set, including tweeters and under-seat replacements - http://www.jehnert.de/category/auto-...er/?lang=en_us

Only Jehnert, Gladen and BSW offer direct bolt in as far as I know (at least of those available in the US). Those speakers are designed for OEM deck/amp power, and not so much for aftermarket amps. Only aftermarket speakers are designed to be run on aftermarket amps. All aftermarket speakers will need adapter rings.

E92 will take the Dynaudio, the Hybrid Audio Legatia 4 SE carbon (need a tweeter though, HAT does not make a tweeter nor xover pairing I would use), the Focal, the Jehnert, the German Maestro EFS, and the BSW. The Jehnert comes with its own ring but not wiring, the BSW needs neither. We use the Maestro in L1, the Jehnert in L2, and the HAT paired with a Morel tweeter and a passive crossover in L3.

The Dynes ain't cheap, and the MD102 takes some stern mod to fit into the sail. I have a set of the tweeters mounted in sails if anyone is interested.

HAT in an E60:

HAT in an E92:

The carbon cone has a breakup mode in the lower treble, so it only works with a tweeter than can play down to around 2000.

The Jehnerts work perfectly fine with an amp, in fact they perform quite a bit better with it.

The Jehnerts work well with an amp. Not the PDX 5, neccesarily... I think it was the BSWs that kaigoss was referring to.

Haven't seen much on the Jenhert 4" driver and tweeter - how do these perform compared to Morels/Focal/DSL?

How would the Jehnert kit (including woofers) go being driven by a JBL MS-A1004 DSP amp? Its a 4 x 100w with (limited) DSP functionality

I like the idea of the JBL having some DSP functions, but haven't heard of anyone on these forums using them. Any thoughts?

The only DSP they have is xover and output level. hardly worthwhile. They were very late and by the time they finally shipped many folks had given up.

They outperform the DLS. I don't like the Focal myself and I don't know anyone who likes that tweeter on axis. They can be considered comparable to the Morel IMO. Don likes the Jehnerts more and I like the Morels a bit more, in the cars they fit in, like yours.

Thanks VP - is an xover not needed for the woofers? Is this to say any 4 channel amp pushing around 100w/channel will do?

I'm undecided as whether put a dedicated DSP such as a Cleansweep before the amp - maybe later when more $$$ are around, and depending on the cost of recoding the Prof. HU to HiFi

Cost of recoding, cost of the harness, work pulling head unit and running harness from head unit in addition to new woofer wires. We've been down this road. The people who want to recode don't know, or care, about the effects on their warranty or on the ability of a US dealer to service their product. Not all E82 HU will recode to HiFi. Some are stone-cold stupid and even lack a MOST port. IF you recode, it's stupid to buy the CL441dsp. If you don't, a correcting processor is essential.

From what I gather, if I use Technic's harness, then I just tap into the existing harness without having to get to the head unit, regardless of recode, DSP usage, or whatever, similar to the Alpine upgrade install. I was thinking of just having the Alpine upgrade recode.

Or am I confused?
