Help with Amp installation.

Hey guys, I need your assistance.

Can anyone tell me what's the best way to install my amp in the car?

Like where should I connect the speaker wires too? And also the remote wire? I can figure out the power and ground but need assistance with the other 2.

Once I get the info, I will take pics and create a DIY. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dude, I am all for careful, considered DIYs, but you aren't there yet.

I would suggest that you read the manuals for the amp you are installing, read bcae1.com, read 12volt.com, and get the wiring diagram for your system (available with a one-day subscription to BMWtechinfo.com).

I would also get a digital voltmeter. They are cheap.

With any car, just connecting wires because someone said it would work is a potential disaster. With the E90, it's worse.

I used to run the largest tech support department in the country. I told all my callers, "Assume I'm lying to you. Test everything before connecting to it."

If you really want to offer a good DIY, I would include the wiring diagram (I never connect to newer cars without one) and I would remember that there are three different audio systems in the US alone in E90s (plus non-amped ones in the EU and elsewhere), and the install is different in all of them.

How much do you think he will charge to install an amp and subwoofer?

Thanks!
