Finally after months of BS I now have MP3 CD playback. I took my car to Southbay BMW this morning at the butt crack of dawn (7:40am) and they physically checked to see if my car was able to play MP3 CD's. It turns out it did not have the update. On my service record it shows some kind of MP3 update. Around 4pm it was finished. To my delight they ended up updating the whole Idrive. I didn't know it was going to take all day since they had to check it first. I should of received a paycheck since I was there all day...hehe! Now I have the latest software and MP3 CD ability. I'm going to start burning some CD's tonight. I'm still upset at New Century BMW. They told me the car had the update and they didn't even bother to physically check both times I went in. They just went by the service record. I'm never going back to that place. They made me feel like I was wasting their time. The dealer that updated my software is where I bought the car. It's a 30 min drive and New Century is 5 mins away. In the future I'll drive 30 mins to a place I can trust now with my baby. Also I now notice when I start my car it goes directly to the CD player just as I left it. The maps look a bit different too.

if u want to try new cent again, ill give u my service advisors name. He will get stuff done right and believe u when u have complaints.

and hes willing for u to show him issues so he can tell the tech properly.
