I've just pulled the trigger on bilstein sports and eibach springs, and will be doing the install in the next couple weeks when I put the summers back on. My car has 50k on it, and the suspension is pretty tired, so I'm looking forward to getting some snap back into my handling.

What other parts should I consider upgrading while it's up on the lift with the wheels off? Are there any parts xi owners are seeing worn while they're under the car at this stage? Bushings, mounts, front end componants etc?

What about the upper strut mount or bushings? I'm getting ready to the same to mine.

FYI, just got an email from Bavarian Auto. Bilsteins are on sale at 10% off! http://www.bavauto.com/se1.asp?dept_id=267. Unfortunately, I'm not ready to buy

Ok, 2 questions......

1. I currently have h&r coils. Can I replace the springs with performance springs, and if so, will the car ride more or less comfortable?

2. Can e92 Xi springs be fit to an e90 Xi?

Thanks!

Definately get new top strut mounts, I've a KW V3 and it was pretty harsh. Now I've changed a lot of bushings and the top mounts, feels like a new car now. Also check your front tension strut bushings for cracks in the rubber, therefore you need to unmount them as it's not visible from outside.

New here, waiting for my 07 E91 328xi wagon to arrive. In the same dilemma as some, suspension needs an upgrade, came across this thread.

For the price of Bilstein Sports, then add on H&R sport springs, top hats, wouldn't coilovers be a more reasonable priced solution?

Guys, I know this may seem a little bit weird to some of you but the roads here are terrible. I want to upgrade my 330xd E92 suspension but without dropping the car(maybe only an inch in the front). Can you recommend a set-up(also, which is better for this situation-coil-overs or shocks and springs?) that is not extremely expensive?
Thank you very much!!
P.S. Sorry if there is similar post but I couldn't find the answer to my question.

I had to check Koni's website but you are right. They are now listing an FSD kit for the Xi, this is relatively recent.

You realize those aren't for lowering springs, right?
