330I Winter Set Up with Blizzak's and196's

I just ordered a set of 4 Blizzak LM-25 size 225/40 VR 18's from Tire Rack and 4 of the radial spoke 196's 225/40's (all around) from BMW Wheels. I had to get all 4 of the 196's in size 225/40 as the Blizzaks do not come in 255/35 for the back.

I was going to put the Blizzak's on a second set of 162's but decided that I would go with the 196's for the winter set up--a little variety. I know the radial spoke 196's will be tough to keep clean--but its winter and I will just have to deal with the brake dust.

Anyone had experience with the Blizzak 18's or the 196 rims??

Any photos--the 196's looked pretty cool.

The Blizzaks wear kinda quick when driven mostly in the dry and they will definitely do the job in snow.

I think the 196 is a real looker. Here is pic from the forum: type 196

Looks good! Thanks for the picture--my 330i is TiAg--just like the one in the picture!

I went with the Blizzak because they are also the best on ice--we get a lot of ice in NC.

While nothing is "great" on ice the blizzak gives you a fighting chance.
