I think it is, and im pretty sure. Start car, shut i off, then hold the pedal down for 5 seconds or so to reset back to ZERO. Easy as pie, if u ever lose your count, just hold the pedal down to reset back to zero.

I got mines yesterday and it is f@#king awesome. Map 6 is a total blast, pedal switching is amazing. I am 100% stock except for muffler delete and ran map 6 with no hiccups no limps no problem. If you don't have lag your gonna loove map6 and if you do have lag your gonna love map6.

Most of the folks have been fine running map 6 on 91 octane. I think Terry said 5 out of 6 had no issues. However I think it is recommended to use 93 octane when running map 6.

Here is how the pedal switching works for the poster above.
To engage JB3 map switch mode press and hold gas pedal with engine off for 4 seconds, and then release gas pedal. This will put the JB3 in map listen mode and also enable map 0. Starting the engine takes the JB3 out of map listen mode. The ECU must be awake for map changes to register so they must happen within 60 seconds of opening a door or stopping the motor, or by turning on the ignition. Once in listen mode to cycle through maps press and release the gas pedal the number of times needed for your desired map. For example for map 3, "high boost" press and release gas 3 times. You do not need to hold the pedal down, a quick press to floor and release will do. Upon starting the car your map will be saved until changed. If equipped with the 3 position wire in switch, the middle position enables gas pedal map switching, the red dot forces map 7, and the black side forces map 3. All maps have been tested with 29.2/v81 and do not trigger detection codes, but if invisibility is a concern avoid map 7 until more extensive testing can be done. |

Guys, you will always know what map you're in gauge or no gauge. 'Stomping up' a particular map lives long in your muscle memory. And, the maps are clearly feel different. 'high boost' maps feel faster up top, 'high torque' maps feel snappy off the line. My wife drove the car the other day: "Hey, the car is really fast when I barely touch the gas, you changed the map right?" |
