Running different brand front sets and rear sets of tires? *quick response appreciate
I got a bulge in the sidewall on my current rear right tire, I need to get two new rears but which tires do I get? I currently have eagle f1 gs-d3s, but was suggested to get toyo t1rs. Would it be recommended to just replace with 2 new eagle f1 gs-d3s at 300 a piece or throw on the t1rs for 225 each. I don't want to compromise performance (f1 gs-d3s arent the super track tire but better), but I need recommendations from the more knowledgeable tire guys on here. Help me out, thanks.
**edit budget is around 600 bucks i guess for two rears Last edited by dArNeLLi; 10-02-2008 at 10:59 PM.. |

getting 2 T1R's in the rear is fine IF you intend to get them in the front as well in the near future.

Do you drive pretty aggressive? Enough that you'll utilize the tires to it's full ability? If so, then get the same brand because you will notice a difference in handling characteristics. If not, then I'm with zoeb. You can throw on a pair of t1r's just as long as you throw on a front set in the future.

i typically drive it as a weekend car, so most of the time its decently spirited, thanks for the input, i guess the conclusion is to stay with the current set up and get new f1 gs-d3s
