Here are two screenshots of me opening the afpx file in PP82DSP demo mode.
I find it curious that they applied slightly different settings to the L/R channels but this may be due to minute differences in the speakers I guess.

You can see there is a decent repository of F30 tunes at http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...php?p=19969813
but I haven't seen anything similar for the E90 - figured I'd just share my tune file for whoever is interested.

System sounds pretty darn good overall. Total cost was $850 for the Bimmertech amp, $220 for the MB Quart QM200.3BMW front speakers, $90 for the Logic7 rears, and $360 spent on labor for the tune = ~$1500 which is pretty reasonable. The PP82DSP is a very powerful amp and still has two channels available - could even drive another sub behind the rear armrest in the future maybe.

I have no way of capturing how good the system sounds since all I've got is my phone mic and that won't do much good, but if any of you are around the Phoenix area you're more than welcome to come over and have a listen.

If you want to know something about tuning the following
series of videos might give you a idea of how its done.
The eq can be a little different from side to side because
of the car acoustics is what I gather .

part 4 of a 13 part ytube video on setting up a dsp.

The same one that opens an afp file- ATF DSP for the PP82. V2= afp, V3= afpx.

The .afpx file contains all of the settings for each channel and the settings for the amp. I just took a screenshot of one as an example - didn't want to take up a whole page of the thread with screens for every channel. I was using the AF DSP PC tool v3.31b.

Well, yea. He stated it's a file for his setup, I thought the rest was pretty self explanatory.

The forum only allows certain formats ie: pdf, jpg, bmp, etc to be uploaded. It was likely added on just to upload. This is why I said originally that it's not a pdf and to remove that extension.

To bring alive this topic, for E90 hifi with bimmertech amp and tune file what are your settings for bass and treble in idrive? If I put the treble and bass in the middle the highs are too loud

Can someone post their tune file for E9x (mine is a 2013 335i convertible). Bavsound stage 1 speakers and stock underseat subs replaced with Earthquake SWS 8"

Even if the plain jane E9x tune as I inadvertently ovewrote the one that Bimmertech shipped it with.

Why don't you PM them I bet they will send you a copy
and maybe give you access to a variety of tunes.

OK, got it from BImmertech! Confused by it though as it has settings for center channel and a third sub even though my car is a 2013 335i Convertible with HiFi which only has the two underseat subs and does not have a center channel...

Waiting on reply from Bimmertech though thought would post here for others thoughts...

would seem that would send wrong sound to speakers?

Seem like they sent you and F30 file since that Hi Fi
has a center speaker.

I emailed them with screenshots and got this reply:

"The file I have sent is the correct tuning file for your vehicle. If you have any trouble loading the tuning file, please perform a hard reset of the amplifier before loading the files again. "

which still seems very odd considering I have no center speaker. It would seem to me that the profile is therefore sending signals to speakers incorrectly. I have emailed them again and will await their reply.

I believe that the 2013 was the last year a coupe was
a e92 and not an F32 did you clarify that with them .
BMW started putting center speaker in the F30's for Hi Fi.

mine is actually an E93 since it is a convertible and yes, I was very specific with them on year, model, etc.

The name of the file they sent even matches: "E93 HIFI.afpx"

I have attached the tune file here which they sent me.

It makes no difference what the channel says if it is outputting to nothing. Ideally it would say 'not assigned' but nevertheless it's moot if the speaker is not there.
