Thermostat sensor Failure , or? 55" E90 330d

Hey people..

I have recently noticed that the temperature has been sitting quite high when in stop start traffic or when coming off the motorway. It's been hovering around 95/97c but as soon as there is a clear run it drops back down again.

Normally it sits at 89/91c and no greater unless its in reGen mode where I've seen it hit just shy of 100c but that doesn't last very long.

Has any 330d owner had these symptoms before?

Thanks for your time people... any info would be appreciated

I'll also mention that I have recently (few months ago) change the main thermostat and EGR thermostat. Which sorted out getting the temperature back to high figures. The main one got changed twice within 4 months both genuine, second time lucky.
