Silver e90 with Black Trim?
I have a silver 2006 330i and i wanted to powder coat my rims, grille, and trim black. I just wanted to see if anyone else has done this and if you have can i please see a picture? I also included a pic of my car, let me know if you think it will even look good.

Welcome!
You can buy "BMW Performance" grills from many places. Here are two site sponsors... Try Dan at United BMW http://www.unitedbmwonline.com/ or Tischer BMW http://getbmwparts.com/ Many people wrap the chrome window trim to give it the look of a "shadow line" optioned car. I am not a fan of black painted wheels... but lots of guys like that look. I do rather "like" that ferric grey look that BMW is now painting some of their wheels in. Right now BMW has three wheel looks, Black, Silver (OE) and Ferric Grey(or gun metal). see those same vender links for various wheel options. Dackel |

It would look hot go for it. If you wanna see what black would look like with silver you can temporary test and play around with plastidip since it would come right off when you want it to but its ganna require more time and work. But hey, if you have free time why not?

As Dackelone mentioned, you can buy BMW kidney grills and window/door trim in shadowline or matte black. I went with shadowline; matte is cheaper. Wrapping your chrome trim looks crappy after a while; so does plastidip. I'm not a fan of black wheels but went with hyperblack which has a black base and silver mist. You can have your wheels powdercoated any way you want.

I bought the BMW shadowline grills and trim from TischerBMW but I would recommend another source for the trim cuz the shipping was $100. You've got to read their shipping policy carefully. The shipping charge you see at checkout may not be what they actually charge you but their prices are usually pretty good.

The rims are flat black, so is the grill and eyelids. and on the side reflectors i just went to autzone and bought this, works great! blinker light is highly visible when signaling. |

Black thinner spoke wheels look great - not so sure about thicker spokes like with the 162 style. Especially with a matt finish. But anyway, this is personal preference!
