Mark V Motorsports (Sterling?)
Anyone dealt with them? I found them because they are listed as a Cobb pro-tuner, but the first time I stopped by their shop they were apparently having a track day and haven't been open any Saturday since apparently - I've been trying off and on for something like a month and a half (they're literally just up the street from my house.) Really just wanted to stop by and get a feel for the place although I probably could be persuaded to get a FMIC and aux oil cooler if it looks like a good place. Am I just having bad luck with timing or should I look elsewhere, and if so, where?

They are very good, but expensive... But when it comes to quality they are on point. For protune I would go to Jake@PTF, he does wonders with Cobb. If you want I can hook you up with him. He is located in Maryland by the way

Good to know, thanks - I'll keep stopping by and see if I can catch someone to talk to.
It's a little too soon to be thinking about a protune as my car is bone stock and still needs some maintenance done first (spark plugs - on order - and tranny and rear axle gear oil changed) plus it seems that a protune before bolt ons is the wrong way to do it. But I have seen some positive posts about PTF so that may be off in the future. |

Mach V is a solid shop. Dan is a pretty good tuner. They have been hit or miss on saturdays though recently. Best bet is to stop by during the week or email/PM dan if you need something.

I get all of my work at their shop, Dan and his crew are honest and upfront people and they know their shit. I highly recommend them.

Mach V has been around for a long time. It is not the cheapest deal you can find, but you will get the product.

I would recommend Mach V and Funktion. They both cost $$ but the quality is top notch. It has been hard for me to get an appointment at Mach V these days as they are very busy so you have to have patience. I had taken my STi and my bimmers there and never had a problem.

Hi N8N,
We're going to be open probably every other Saturday for the winter time, to help accommodate my staff's work schedules. If possible, come by during the week. We're open 9:30 to 5:30 on weekdays. We will be open next Saturday, but I will not be at the shop, so if you want to talk to me -- and you probably do, since I'm the tuner -- either come by on a weekday, or give me a call. Thanks to all who posted with positive comments, by the way. That means a lot. --Dan Mach V |

nice to see you jump right in Dan, I'll PM you - my work schedule is kind of hectic right now so weekdays are right out unless you happen to be open late some evening - I'm stuck at the office until 5 PM most days unless I come in early (and even then, you know how it goes.) thanks!
