I was planning on doing this about a year ago. While the price may sound stable, the unexpected hurdles get you. Consider the cost of the engine, ecu, wiring, and mostly, the transmission. Then you have the process of removal.

If you are thinking of manual tranny, you can use the E9X M3 manual gearbox, it fits perfectly with the V10 engine. I have seen a thread from UK, Trackculture to be exact, and they fitted their E46 M3 with a V10 engine and used the manual gearbox from the E9X M3. Now they are selling the car.

Anyways, YES, do post the project, when you will start.

Yup, we are master distributor for the company that makes the wtcc and lemans kit. You need to stop by dude, we have a lemans gt2 kitted e9 m3 in our garage right now
