OEM Power Connection of L7/EPS/Individual Audio Amp?
Hi,
How is this done from the factory? Is a +12v lead run from a MAK8 connector on the distribution block atop the battery directly to the 2-blade socket on the AMP? If so, where is the -ve pin grounded? Were earlier cars different? I seem to recall reading somewhere that the amps are in some cases powered via the 20-pin connector instead. I'm retrofitting a complete Individual Audio (Enhanced Premium) setup. Thanks, Tom |

I've an E91 to which I'm trying to retrofit Individual Audio. In an OEM installation does it get 12V directly from the fused 'distribution block' on the battery, like this: (Obviously this is an aftermarket system, but is the topology the same?) http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=540446 Ground from the left wheel arch somewhere? Thanks, Tom |

Sorry to resurrect this thread but can anyone confirm whether the power comes from the 2 pin blade socket, or in the 20 pin connector (pin 10 12v, pin 20 ground).
I'm doing the same thing at the moment, could the power just not come from the battery with an inline-fuse? |
