Well theres seem to be some activity going on.

10/5/2009 House Placed on Calendar Amendatory Veto October 14, 2009
10/5/2009 House Motion Filed Override Amendatory Veto Rep. Suzanne Bassi

In addition to signing bills or vetoing them outright, Illinois' constitution allows the governor to "return a bill together with specific changes" to the legislature (Article IV, Section 9(e)). When a governor issues an amendatory veto, the legislature must decide whether to concur with the changes or to override them. Concurring with an amendatory veto requires a simple majority in both chambers, while overriding an amendatory veto takes a three-fifths vote in both chambers. If the legislature fails to concur with the veto or override it, the bill dies and does not become law.
We will know more on the 14th.

Tint Law Update 10/15/09

The House passed the Amendatory veto override today, but I think the Senate still has to do the same... I'm not 100% sure about that.

Article 99 states the effective date is when the bill becomes law, which I hope will be soon.

I have an appt this Sat with Sunset in Woodridge. Debating on either going 35% all around, 55% front and 35% rear, or 55% all around. I work in Hoffman Estates and the cops their and in Schaumburg are like Nazi's.

I just got a $250 Chicago ticket while parked. WTF?! I've never received one while parked. Guess I'm doing my part in balancing the city's damn budget.

I got one not too long ago...contested and still waiting. If you think that is BS, I parked in my garage downtown two weeks ago and got a ticket in the mail the other day...for not front license plate.

I didn't think they could ticket you in a garage that i pay $240/month to park at...now that is some bullsh1t...

so that's two contested and one i'm about to contest...anyone know if they can boot me for 3 tickets even though i'm contesting them all???
