Keep in mind that system takes 2 to 3 days to update and show your status. Your car could be on the ship by now.

It is always best to speak to your Sales Rep for the most up-to-date info re: your order.

A week at port seems average. Remember, BMW doesn't book space on every ship, so they have to wait for space.

Check the shipping schedule at the WWL website for the ships leaving port. They don't leave everyday. I was waiting at the port from 12/23 until 1/2 - yes it was agonizing.

But no system told me I finally got on a ship. On 1/2 I just randomly entered my VIN # into the auto cargo link on WWL and my car just showed up that it was leaving port.

3 days is a pretty short time to wait - often this is the longest part of the whole process... (aside from time on the ocean).

I've been at the port since Jan. 5th too!
the wait is killing me...our cars might be on the same vessel.
I was some how secretly hoping to catch a ride on the
one that left Jan. 7th.

In Transit finally 1-11-06. I'm guessing I'm on the Courage. I'm not sure is the destination port for me is New York or S. Carolina since the boat make both stops.

Lucky you, I called the 800 # , and I went from " has been released to the carrier to transport to the port of exit" to " your vehicle is waiting for a ship at the port of exit". I checked the shipping site and nothing. Oh the pain......

I'm also awaiting a ship at the port of exit. Here's what I'm hoping to get on...

1. the ELEKTRA (longshot) departs Bremerhaven on 1/12 arrives NY/NJ on 1/26.

2. the PATRIOT (good chance) - departs 1/17 and arrives in NY/NJ on 1/29

3. the ATLANTIC COMPANION (most likely) - departs 1/13 arrives NY/NJ on 1/31

4. the TURANDOT - departs 1/19 and arrives in NY/NJ on 2/2

I'm also hoping for a kick ass tailwind and smooth seas.

I'm confirmed on the Courage too. The reason it wasn't working was because I was entering one wrong digit of the VIN. My car is going to S. Carolina so is going to take 6 more days than yours going to New York.

Hey - can I join the club. My Mystic Blue 330 finished production on 1/4 and is currently at the port.

I have a dumb question. Where exactly do you go on the shipping company's website to enter your VIN number and see what ship your are on and when its sechduled to reach the US?

If anyone can provide a direct link, I'd be greatful.

enter VIN there.
I've done it so many times I have it memorized.

Our color is so rare, I have yet to see one at the dealer. I went looking last week and was told there are only two in the entire northeast network of dealers. (both in Virginia) What color interior did you decide on?

so you car finished production the fourth, and you made it to the port on the 5th, correct? then got on the courage on the 9th. Ushoul be right there with you..

I understand the agony. My car finished production on 12/23 and was stuck at port until 1/2. Finally got on a ship - Jingu Maru - which is supposed to port today, but now the ship for some reason has been delayed until 1/16..... grrrr... anyone know how to find out why a ship schedule has been delayed?

I was hoping to get my car by weekend of 1/21-22 - but now it's looking unlikely
