Does all E92s with leather have heated seats?

Currently looking for an E92 at the moment with leather interior and noticed that on some of the cars i have looked at do not have the heated seat buttons below the climate control system.

So would these cars with the missing buttons not have the heated seats with the leather interior?

Nope.. Heated seats were another option. Which would add the buttons at the bottom of the dash.

IIRC the LCI cars (if you're looking at these?) had the buttons in the climate control buttons.

As above, heated seats are an option, and its amazing how many cars with leather do not have heated seats, for me that would be a deal breaker.

What model of E92 are you shopping for?

No - I assumed this, bought my car in summer, and only worked it out a few months later when it got cold :-(

Annoying. Who the hell would not choose that option?! And my 530d has a Heads Up display, but no folding mirrors or memory seats?!?!? Stupid people.

Nope, as said an extra and i wouldn't be without them in any future car if possible, feel so nice in winter and relax the back on long journeys.

I must stupid then. I didn't specify folding mirrors or memory seats when I bought my car new because I would never use either of those options (never needing to park in a confined space and being the only driver) so I picked options I would actually use, such as HUD.

One might argue that somebody buying second-hand where what-you-get is what-you-get is more "stupid" for picking a car to buy that doesn't have the options that they want.

Yes - you should have considered the resale value for a car that lacks popular options.

Yes - admittedly I got a bit excited when buying the 335i and was just plain old stupid But 530d was a calculated decision - I had a boner for the HUD so compromised on other things - in this case I was happy for the seller's lack of foresight, as I bought the car below MV due to this.

Mine doesn't have heated seats.. and has leather.

It's a bit chilly when you first plant your arse down but after 2 minutes it's no issue.

Yes they would be nice to have but no deal breaker to me.. Much rather have xenons.

That's a matter of opinion as to which are popular options: I rate professional media and the visibility pack as essentials whereas others perhaps don't.

But are you really trying to suggest that had I bought memory seats (£700) and folding mirrors (£310) at the time of purchase my car would be worth £1000 more when I sell it three years hence or even worth anything more at all? It would make not a jot of difference - I'd simply be stumping up a grand for something I'd never use.

You yourself said you were happy for the seller's lack of foresight as you allegedly paid less than market value: ergo, you were happy to pay less to forgo these options. So was I, to the tune of a grand.

Professional Media is probably the only option that adds noticeable second-hand value / desirability.

I reckon heated seats can make a massive difference to a cars desirablility and therefore are right up there with nav. The absence of heated seats will turn many buyers off immediately therefore for the relatively small outlay they are well worth it.

I agree with that, especially in this weather. I didn't specify them on my F10 though because they're standard.

Neither of mine have it, I'd be surprised if people were that petty to turn down a mint car just because it didn't have heated seats!

I thought that until I had them. As mentioned, they were standard on my car and I kind of thought "meh, whatever" - but now I wouldn't consider a car without them.

My previous E90 325d SE had them, and I wasn't bothered, we specced the E92 without them without a second thought!

Wouldn't consider a car that has leather without heated seats, simple as that.

How come? Your body heat warms the leather in an instant!

cheers for the replies guys, it is annoying that this is an optional extra, more money grabbing from BMW.

Heated seats would be a deal decider for me, whilst not being an extremely important function, i have them as 'standard equipment' in my Saab, and i use them all the time, great after a cold day at work to relax into soft heated leather seats.

Its going to be like hens teeth to find an e92 with heated leather

Fallen out with the Saab already? I did that too with my 9-3 Convertible.

I don't think you should find it that difficult to find a car with heated seats Aaron, it is a very common extra for people speccing a car. There are one or two people on here who don't care for heated seats but the vast majority wouldn't think twice about ticking that option box if buying new.

My E92 has the usual electric sports seats but they're not heated. Initially I thought it might be a deal-breaker, but to be honest I'm not bothered. The leather in the car isn't the sort of slippy, shiny leather that feels icy cold to the touch in the winter. By the time warm air is starting to come out the vents, the seat is already warm enough from my body heat.

Would've preferred heated seats, for sure. But it's not a big issue for me. It would've been [an issue] had the leather been of the slippier, shiny type that always feels cold. As I was looking at nearly-new / pre-registered stock rather than a factory order, I'm glad I went for the car I did, and will do without the heated seats in exchange for having absolutely everything else I would've chosen or specced on a factory order.

I have heated and think they are really good. Heat up very quickly, much better than my Audi which took for every. I have an LCI model but the switches are below the climate rather than forming part of it.
