E90 electrical fault, anyone know what could be wrong?

I have been having problems with me e90. Everytime I start the car and drive the DSC, ABS and handbrake light come up and my speedometer goes to 0. After a few seconds it all goes back to normal then comes back again. But if I wait 1 minute with the ignition on and then another minute with the car started, the car drives fine with no problems. Once I switch off the car and switch it on again, same problem occurs. I've been to the garage twice and changed the battery and he fixed the wiring apparantly but still nothing. Anyone know what it could be??

Perhaps see if you can get any error codes read from the car. It might help to diagnose the problem a little easier.

Yeah I've had the car diagnosed with the machine and got a Intelligent Battery Sensor error code but the garage says my intelligent battery sensor is fine. Taking the car back on Monday to see what the problem is.

Hat you are describing is a fairly common DSC/ABS module failure. It could also be a speed sensor problem.

Have your codes read with BMW spec tools. Ideally INPA or ISTA D (Rheingold)

Yeh you need the proper BMW software that can query the DSC system. A generic scanner might not be good enough.

There will certainly be a faultcode stored in the DSC module if its bringing the lights on that might help narrow down the symptoms.

This is quite common it will be the horrensis in the rear drive shaft abs wheel speed sensor on rear axle, have it diagnosed properly as it can be expensive !

I've been in and out of the garage for the past 2 weeks and they still don't know. Can anyone recommend a garage for me? Looking for a garage in London. Also how much did it cost you to fix the module fault?

Christ how incompetent.

Get yourself an INPA cable or Carly and scan the DSC controller for fault codes.
